New USCC (US Cellular) PPC 6800 User

Hello Smart Phone Junkies.

This new user resides in Iowa USA with a HTC PPC 6800 connected to United States Cellular commonly known in our area as USCC and US Cellular.

I've joined with a goal to learn more about HTC Smart Phones with a current task, to learn about the PPC 6800.

I use my Smart Phone specifically for business as a telephone and Messaging. In doing so, I am OK with the Windows Mobile look and applications. I'm not into colors, skins, music or videos, but do enjoy reading about updated local, national and glabal news via the Internet.

Specifics goals are to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1 and to create the ability to integrate Picture Messaging.

One item of interest is to learn acronyms used to help with searchs. After reading many of the forums, many users get slammed for not searching. At this stage I am on the newbies side, the search engine and key words implemented are tough to integrate. It took over two hours to realize picture messaging is referred to SMMS, which much research remains. With this shared, should you have tips to share, please know they are welcome.

A comfort I found, were video's. Although none marked as technical (compared to marketing) step-by-step how-to's, those posted by "iamdasht19," makes it apparent modifications are created to enhance users needs. Therefore I will read through the many forums, statements, comments and responses to find out if there's more to a Smart Phone I would like to have available. Currently, topics which have captured my attention are the home page window, a GPS and XM Radio.
