Invalid Vendor ID?
I have a new Touch, I unlocked it with cokemans unlocker and when I try to flash a rom I get an Invalid Vendor ID error. My carrier is Alltel and I am trying to upgrade to the latest 3.42.50 radio rom and from what I can see I have to flash the Bell Mobility rom 1st in order to get that radio. What am I doing wrong? Or is the 3.42.50 radio available seperately?

Re: Invalid Vendor ID?
Sorry Dash, I know better, should have given you more info. I was trying to flash the Bell Mobility 3.09.666.1 ROM because I wanted the 3.42.50 radio from that ROM, then after I had that I was going to flash to either OMJ's latest or a custom one I make through ppc kitchen.

Re: Invalid Vendor ID?
Dash, that's where my problem lies. I started with a new out of the box Alltel Touch/Vogue and unlocked with Cokemans version 2.31, says .40 after I unlock. I then flash to the Bell and I even tried the Sprint ROM from OMJ's ROM page with 3.42.30 radio and the flash gets to about 30 to 50 % and hangs and then an error comes up, phone restarts and goes to bootlader, but it is no longer unlocked with .40, I have to reflash to the stock Alltel ROM or it does nothing. I have no f*ing clue and I have flashed quite a lot already. Sorry for the novel.

I have Windows Vista and I agree with you. Do you recommend where I can find a different unlocker or the right version at least if that's the problem? Thanks buddy, I appreciate it alot.

Re: Invalid Vendor ID?
Ok, I feel like I'm back in kindergarten here, but when I download the unlocker off your sig line. I then extract it and then go to that file and run the ruu.exe to unlock it 2.31 correct? Cuz that's what I'm doin and I get to the bar where it shows the % done and it never goes past 0 and then errors out. I'm ready to haul out the budweiser and see if that helps any

Re: Invalid Vendor ID
I bought my Touch GSM in Hong Kong, the HTC Touch rom update is for Asian Touch (link I posted) and mine is unlocked and not part of any provider. I can put any sim and it will work, I tried People's sim (HK), Globe, Smart, Sun (Phil sims) and they all worked.

Re: Invalid Vendor ID
right but is the provider also gsm? you cant flash a cdma rom on a gsm phone or vice versa and have it work.
