wallpaper question for SPB Mobile Shell themes

Hi guys, this is my first post as I am a super noob to your site (and PPC's for that matter) But I am a quick learner and have picked up modding pretty easy (thanks to all the helpfull info your site provides).

My question is, is it possible to replace the wallpaper on any given SPB mobile shell theme? I have a few images in mind that would look great for the orange diamond theme that is currently installed on my Vouge. Any info on this topic would be great.

i already responded to your post in the other thread please dont double post. all you have to do is find the wallpaper image in the mobile shell folder and than rename your wallpaper to the same name and than overwrite the file.

The only file I found that looked like it may be the wallaper file was a "qa_bg_image.dat" file. So I renamed my wallpaper this with the .dat extension but this didn't do the trick. Do I have to convert the file to a .dat file? If so, how is that done? Second, it didn't give me the option to overwrite even though it was the exact same file name, so I just deleted the original and after soft reset the original wallpaper is still there. So I guess this wasn't the right file???
