wont connect software - Wckediden

i searched around but couldnt find the answer to my question. when i try to connect my phone to mobile device center it wont recoginze my phone. could it b cause i dont have my cd that came with my phone? i just downloaded the mobile device from microsoft. another question. is all i need to program my phone mobile device center? or do i need to find another software?
sorry if this question has already been answered but i couldnt find it.

ok first of all you have vista correct???? and are you giving time forthe drivers to be installed once connected? and also moving thread to help desk for you.... pleas epost in the correct areas from now on.... also make sure you dont have your virus scans or your firewall blocking connection.
