Troubles with site

Well right now I only got two major problems, the first one is that I keep getting log off the site. Lets say Im login then I go to the side menu and click help desk, it will log me out and I need to log back in again. This happens to me all the time. The second one is about "D/\\SHS Ultimate Launcher Description And Set Up" as you know, there is a link there, when i click it, it tells me that I dont have permission to access this page. I joined all the groups already. Hope you guys can help me. Thanks!

First, you are getting logged out if you are idle and scrolling through the site. thats for security reasons. Secondly. I dont see any requests for the member software group! So if you are subscribed...you should be approved, if not subscibe to the correct group! Please search as your second question has been answered before!

I have search for an answer for the second question and it tells me that I have to join the member software group, but like I said before on my first post, I already joined that group a long time ago, and im still a member of it.

Remove yourself from the group and try it again

there's nothing wrong with the site.... out of 30,000 members only one member with issue i think you need to go https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=170281 and read up

Woh Woh Woh Don't jump to conclusions it totally depends on how Coderz setup his php sessions There are multiple ways he can configure that, Also dont forget that its not so much for security reason and more leaning towards optimization board wise (aka speed of the site)

speed and php sesssions has nothing to do with the issue the member is having...its cookie session in fact..and i will not change that to accommodate one user...he needs to clear cookies and browsing history..we have change from the old server program to Apache and that was instructed for everyone to do.

you not completely correct on that one Coderz, Lets say you set your php sessions to be live for 400 days let em know how the site runs at that point :) and also i ge tthe same issue he is having as well. and also its not using cookie setting cause if it was anyone could easly hack the shit outa a vbulletin forum

will i never touch that at all and i was adviced when setting up Apache to leave it alone,the default sessions is used across the board with people using apache..but the standard session time for vbulletin 900 before it expries..the only thing i can see if you have the browser cookie off. and that will occur as you claim.

well php sessions only store the session id in the cookie in which thats how php identifies which conection matches with the current open sessions. Im not sure how you setup your sessions or what the default, but yeh if your cookies are disabled your browser will not beable to store the session id that the board requires to authenticate your login.

also i want mention that not to many people is aware in vbulletin when you log on you have to check the box to stay logged on.. if you don't then the session will start and expire then you have to log back in again.

yeah i would try that and also log out and log back in to clear your cookies or try to manually delete your cookies through the browser.
