Kaos Touch Pro Vista Start Icon Wait Icon (VGA)

Ok Boys and Girls..This is only Tested on sprint touch pro....here is what you get...The start icon below as well as the vista wait icon...


What you will need is resco file explorer and registry editor...

unrar the files I've attached...
inside you will see

2 files

1- Certificati this is needed to be added by resco registry editor...just click and install from there...

2- shellres.192.dll This is where all the goodies i did are housed....Take resco file explorer..make sure you have it set to show rom files and all hidden...I put this on my sd card..Then select it through resco file explorer...Secect copy too. pick windows..it will ask to overwrite...click yes....now reboot phone...check out your new vista start icon and wait cursor...compliments of Kaos and of course my fam AMJ....Remember to press thank you!!!!!!

when im in resco and i try to install the certificate i get an error..

So i it least tried to do step 2 and when im in resco and i find the shelres and copy i click browse and windows then it shows a all my windows application files.. WHich one do i choose?

Looks good. Works well. The Windows Start Menu logo looks a little bit smaller than I would like on my screen, but still cool. I love all these little things that can be done to the phone to set it apart even more.

OK my un rared the files but when im in resco and i go to install from there i get an error saying cannot copy file you rar file may be corrupt anyone seen this?

i dont know why you get ut telling you rar ...its a dll....

Try unraring the files in your computer, then copy the files to your mem card and then follow Kaos's steps.

OK, it's sad and funny. I installed step by step on mu TP and now i have new wait icon but NO start icon with any theme i apply and x or OK button on the upper right they are gone :) so pls pls pls pls how can i get them back ? any start icon but more importatnt the x or OK button ????????????????????????????????????

Anyone know where can i download more start buttons for TP ???

you have to cook them into the dll...I think maybe a program around floating on xda to change start icon...But you will loose wait cursor....And no i won't supply just the wait cursor...

Hey Kaos, I love the wait cursor and the start icon. I just switched to the latest mighty rom and noticed this wont take on there. Do you have any idea why? I would really like to have that back and have it with that great rom. thanks in advance.

ha actually i do his is the other one... shellres.192.0409.mui something like that affect...rename it to that...i got it working.

wellif u do a search u can find my thread and request a custon start icon for VGA, theres no cursor at the moment but give it time.

the shellres has to be named 'shellres.192.dll.0409.mui'

did you follow the steps in the first post exactly? what process have you done thus far? we need some info to help you with the problem that you are having otherwise we cant solve for you.
