[INFO] ATT Touch Pro

By coincidence I saw AT&T's Touch Pro in the flesh, in a store yesterday. Not a complete list of features and benefits but here's what I saw/found out.
Economics:
1st and worst...$149.99 a month for unlimited data, voice, etc. $50 MORE a month than Sprint. 2nd, $50 rebate not $100 so Sprint is also cheaper to buy.
Physical:
All shiney black, no chrome, 'diamond back', not silver rubberized. This looks for all the world like the European version. Slightly smaller height, slightly smaller width, slightly smaller thickness. I had to put mine on top or under the AT&T vesrion to make out the size differences...they are very slight. Big Rut Ro on the QWERTY Keyboard slide out. 4 rows, not 5! The numeric's are 'function' shifted and in a blue color.
Etceteras:
NO SD memory card provided! GSM based, not CDMA. I happen to like GSM, but I like Sprint's whole deal including initial cost, monthly cost and QWERTY keyboard way better. There are software differences as well....NO voice GPS, and there are other software differences but it's more or less a user preference issue.

So...AT&T has them in store nationally, though not displayed due to fact they can't keep them in stock. They were not on AT&T's website as of last night. The AT&T guy had a nice comparrison sheet showing differences between Sprint version, Verizon's and theirs. They were doing pretty good till they got to the QWERTY keyboard and the monthly cost. Yuk!

This isn't intended to be a review but a remembered observation which may be useful to some of you.
