okay i have read the how to flash roms...and everything looked at the noob guide but i am still very lost i have uploaded the alien x theme which is amazing but now i want to flash my rom to the new kaos rom which i have read is amazing....and i just need some help to get this flashing down....i own a HTC pro and i tried using the vouge unlocker mfg 2.31 but it comes up with a error....i am so lost plaz can someone help? thanks!

NOTE -- PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNLOCK YOUR PHONE BEFORE FLASHING TO A CUSTOM ROM!

How to Flash Via PC:

1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop
3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button)
5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there

read through it and download the proper unlocker based on your comp OS. And make sure you read the "how to flash" guide before you wind up bricking your phone bro.

i figured it was just for the vouge but i had to try cause i couldnt find anything else...haha i hope i dont mess up my fone doing this!

doubtful, since you got the error, chances are your phone didnt allow anything to go through... just hit that link and use the unlocker there, and you should be golden... Good luck!

Youll be ok, just make sure you read through good before you start. Its pretty simple. Unlock, DL RUU folder, copy .nbh file from ROM you want into the RUU folder(replace the current one, and do not just use the RUU folder that came with the unlocker), hit the rom update utility, and follow the onscreen instructions. Ive flashed tons of times, and it only gets easier(and more adictive) once you get it done. Good luck.

thanks for the explination...and i still need more lol....um i have the Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe and when i run this it starts the rom update utility ....i dont know what to do now....is it just replacing the ruu file?....i have downloaded the kaos one....and all i have to do is replace it then finish running the program?

Holy crap dude, you gotta read. Your gonna wind up briking your phone. That ROM isnt for the touch pro. If you want a good one for the touch pro, try Hibbys 17 or JDs TP rom, or Big Jews Mureder Rom. Just make sure you read before you do anything else in the future bro.

well he has a kaos touch hybrid take 1.....isnt that for the touch pro? i didnt do it yet haha so what is the best rom for the htc pro?

Well, personally I liked Hibbys 17 for speed and stability. JDs is good for having alot of programs packed in from the start. Personally, I am running Kaos TP ROM, which is better then both. So, I would prolly go with Hibbys. Just make sure to the thanks for these post.

You have to wait for the official release. Its still in the beta stage only open to select testers. And as for unlocking your phone, just use the unlocker(its a ruu folder and has a romupdate utility in it) Select update rom, folow the instructions onscreen, then it will reboot your device and youll be unlocked. to flash, just folow the same instructions with the rom RUU folder and .nbh file.

Wait, which one? The unlocker has its own RUU folder with its own nbh file. You also need a new RUU folder and then you just place the ROMS .nbh file in that and select copy and replace. it the Rom update utility, then folow the onscreen instructions. It will say on the ROMs page if it supports alltel. But most sprint ROMs do support alltell, and vica versa.

You said you had rapheal unlocker rite? Thats the unlocker for the touchpro. The link to the page is in my previous post back on page 1 or 2. And when your on hibbys page, you have to download his ROM. Its either a .nbh file, or the RUU folder with the rom ready to go.

Yep, brainfart. The unlocker is by itself. I dont know what i was confusing it with thinking it had its own RUU folder. Maybe that was the Moguls unlocker....

Ok, just unzip the hibby rar file and place the .nbh file in the ruu folder. Select to overwrite or copy and replace or whatever so that you replace the current nbh file with the one from hibby, After that, hit the icon romupdate utility. after that, its just like the unlocker. follow theonscreen instructions.
