Having trouble

Okay, so I just got my Touch - never had any kind of PPC before or anything, and I'm trying to put these themes on it but I have no idea what I'm doing...

Yes, I have used the search function numerous times and read through pages and pages of threads on themes etc.
So here's what I'm doing...
I tried downloading a TouchFlo 2D theme - the Carbon 2D theme pack.

I...
1. Downloaded the 4 zip files using WinRAR
2. Dragged and dropped the .cab files onto My Computer>Mobile Device while the phone was connected through ActiveSync
3. Went to Start>Programs>File Explorer and installed all .cab files
4. I have no idea what to do with the Carbon Theme.zip file - I downloaded it, extracted it to the desktop and dragged the folder into Mobile Device
5. Looked under Settings>Today and didn't find any themes to change
6. Soft reset - checked Settings>Today - still no themes and no noticeable changes to interface

The only change I noticed was when I go to the Cube, the font is changed to the handwriting font used on the Carbon Theme but I don't have a slide to unlock feature, theme, dialer skin or anything - even after I installed the .cab files on the phone and did a soft reset. I also have NO IDEA what to do with that big folder of images...

So can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or give me a step by step instruction on how to install this theme? As I stated above...I'm new, and have searched numerous threads and pages; please no flaming? Haha

you need to install slide2unlock forthe skin to apply than you have to overwrite the original files to get it skinned. for the touchflo you need touchflo 2d and than you have to apply the skin by taking all the files in the skin and overwrite them in the windows folder after you installed touchflo 2d... all this is explained in the touchflo 2d tread so i would look at that.

So I need a slide2unlock APPLICATION (a generic application) before I can use this s2u2 feature? Same with the TouchFlo2D? I need an application before this will work - Correct?

I'm trying to find the TouchFlo2D thread you're talking about, nothing's really coming up in the search bar...
I got to a Manilla 2D Customizer v024225 thread, I don't know if that's what you mean though.

Do you know specific names of the applications I need to install on the phone before I start using these features?
