Wanting To Start New Rom

Hey guys I'm not new to the hacking and editing environment, and i have a friend that is a programer that is willing to help me with anything that i need, what i am needing now though is what you guys start with to mod in your guy's roms. I have a touch pro. and what i am wanting to do is make a completly new and different type of mod that is based off of the touchflo 3d but has a different twist to it. to make it unique. So if you guys can help in anyway that would be great thanks.

can you give more details of what you are planning to do in depth so we can help you further.... you left it a little vague with many openings.

ok well im not quite sure how it is that you guys are making these roms but my friend was explaining to me that it can all be done through regedit and things like that. and what i was wanting was the most bare form of the touchflo 3d so that i can then start placing certain programs with it just like you all have done. what i am actually wanting to do with my unique twist is to pretty much make it seem like if the iphone and htc had a kid this is what it would look like. if you guys can just get me started then that would be great...

I would start off really basic and research kitchens:) Its gonna be what you build up from. If you dont know about kitchens, you cant really do much:)

well i actually dont know much about that and im not quite sure if what that is, is it a sort of rom or a different type of rom.

Kitchens are what you use to build ROMS. The search button and google are going to be your best friends in this endevour my friend.

I have been looking at Kitchens and playing around with it. but al that i can seem to do is extract the rom and not manage to edit it what is the next step after extracting the rom when you have the OS.nb

lmao... you got a long way to travel in windows mobile grasshopper... kitchen isnt just click and go.. you need to know module creation. reverse module engenering. as well as the registry like the back of your hand. dll modification and manipulation come in handy as well.. google its your friend.

o yes im very positive that it will take awhile to completly understand everything and eventually get everything to work but im willing to try and work at it, but if i could just get a kind of quick small tutorial where only like one small thing is changed like a pic or something like that then i can start to figure out what everything does thanks.

Just read a lot at the site. the link posted above tells you alot as they have a forum.......you'll be fine.

Bro, anything Kaos or Big Jew tells you, just look at it like its written in stone. Them 2 guys are the chefs of the 2 best ROMs out for the TouchPro. Kaos is also the king of the Mogul with 3 of the best ROMs for that phone. So pay attention and do whatever they tell you. You cant go wrong
