Soft reset is just basically turning your phone and off. They should be a little whole on your Touch where you put your styles in and it will reset your phone. A hard reset will be in setting System normally called Storage Clear. That will put your phone back to factory settings of the phone everything will be whipped out.... Hope that helps

has this not been discussed? for tethering you need something like pdanet or wmwifirouter. and you also need to have a data package for unlimited data. and a hard reset is clearing the phone back to the way it was when the rom was just placed on.... (basically like a fresh copy of windows mobile.) (you will lose everything so back up the info)
