Hey I want to flash a custom rom on my XV6900, but I am so confused on how to do so. I have this problem on my phone where someone would call, but my phone would not hear it ring and they would go straight to voicemail.
Hopefully a custom rom would fix this issue? Is it possible to get free GPS on this thing too? Can anyone give me a step by step on how to flash a custom rom on the XV6900? I can't seem to find anything for the Verizon ver. Thanks. |

I've read the tutorials. But when I see stuff like this:
"#4- run the sprint leaked rom.exe (here, close to the bottom where it says "original rom")" I get very confused cause I remember seeing somewhere that mixing carriers is bad? I'm horrified of bricking...i've bricked a psp before...... :\ |

Ill break it down for you in laymans terms... looking at your account It say your running windows mobile 6.1. so that would mean you've already upgrade from wm 6, and u currently have an active gps
now if that correct and ur still on stock rom (the official rom of verizon) that came out the box keep in mind this is IF you have the 6.1 w/ rev A and GPS (which I believe you do, but double check) all you need to do is: download IMcokemans vogue unlocker, the Rom Utility update folder and download the rom of your choice... now extract the vogue unlocker and run it as instructed in the tutorial and as your pc instructs you (once that is done your phone is unlocked) then extract the rom u downloaded, take the Nbh. file that is in the rom u extracted. Drop that NBH. file into the RUU (rom utility update) folder and run the RUU (rom utility update) as instructed. after that you should be good. (If your already running a custom rom already you don't even need to unlock the phone makin the process that much simpler) But makes sure you follow the instruction in the thread that you got your rom from, that where you will find out if you need a carrier cab or if the rom is carrier specific... you should be good after that! if you can't fully understand it correctly and the tutorial is well detailed i suggest leaving it alone.because you can damage your phone easily ...And we are not responsible for that.
