The Best D/\MN ROM EVER

Ok so Ive had my fair share of trial periods with roms. Some were good, others real good. but for the past week i have been using Mighty's 4X series. I had tried one of his previous rom i believe in the 3X series and was not to say the leasat very impressed. It was more of a visual rom, fansy boot up and tsk themes and so forth. I didnt find it any faster then other roms so i switched.....Well our fellow junkie Broski been ranting on how good his most recent roms have been, so i took mighty 4.4.5 for a spin....and it was amazing...super fast,stable,clean,and well enginered. Less then 3 days later 4.5 came out. So One thing that has got me stumped is the battery life. I took my phone off the charger yesterday morning at 8am, i made phone calls 4-5 20-25 min calls, text alot, got on plaringo some, just looked around the registry to see what was under the hood, played a few games, and so forth. Well at 9pm the same night.....it was at 90% batery life. I did not at any point of the day, plug it in or turn my phone off. And at the same time i was in roaminng for more than half the day which i believe drains a lil more power. The only thing i added on additionally is a few tweaks of my own, (the regular memb3rs know which ones I mean). this ROM is sooooo fast and stable. I cannot report any errors at this time and I believe i am goin to stick with mighty roms from now on. I thought id drop in and inform all of you about this rom. I also here great things about his Touch pro rom as well. Same sys and the change log looks identical. So feel free to ask questions and hope u guys decide to go mighty.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice post T... I really digg informative info like this... Ive been looking into changing my rom for a bout a week a so, and was actually thinkin about mighty, as everyone on some other sites seem to be raving about it... I was also lookin at KK's and Juicy's newest, but had some things I heard that concerned me, and ended up just hardresetting, and only installing my most needed apps to keep it clean as possible... but from this revue, i may just go ahead and give mighty's a spin... especially w/ your battery life results, now thats impressive... tell me, do you know if he's got User customization in his latest roms?

i might have to try but it will be hard to get over knowing that the only reason his rom is good is because of the parts from juggalo that he stole at first without giving permission

true that...that is my only concern with using his roms...i don't care how sweet they are, if they stole stuff from other developers and didn't even credit them until they were threatened with a ban from ppcgeeks, then for me its just a moral standpoint that I won't use it...

Well i heard KK's is ok and Juicy's newest isnt soo good...battery life is horrible. almost every person posted battery issues. And Broski is on Mighty's newest and battery life is amazing as well,.....i just got off the phone with him after an hour and a half and we compared battery an it only drained about15-20%....my phone was still cold to the touch......as for UC...thats a negative, but u could always use shismi or however u spell it.

I fel the same way as u dash with his first series....but after reading through some posts and replies Juggolo is one to forgive and forget, water under the bridge. give it a whirl man i promise u wont regret it

yup credit is being givin to what has been used or taken so for now I believe that everything is done and forgotten. Check out the threads at ppcgeeks and see if the rom looks good to you'

from the infamous word of broski....DO IT SON!!!! lol.....check it out man.....boski was even usin my keyboard lag fix prior to this rom and he said it was instant.....he said this rom dont need the fix and it responds even better. he also made like 5 or 6 different tsk's that i like...im using a midnight blue/black combo....matches my newly died blue cover and stylus and blue and black tf3d theme..

i have been back and forth between juggalo and mighty but stuck with juggalo cuz i wasnt diggin the blackout setup and juggs had more goodies,anyway i flashed to mightys newest released last night (before i saw this thread) and i must say that its pretty damn good so far,not tested battery throughly since i havent been using it much to really tell, ill report later...

I have to agree with you all, this is an awesome rom. It loads faster, runs smoother, and the battery life you get is crazy. I didn't know him using someone else work was such a big deal. At least, not on a site with some...."free here, but not so free there" programs.

Actually there are two versions of this ROM and they only work on the diamond and touch pro.

Ok, so I hear you guys getting amazing battery life and im getting jealous. I was running this ROM and I had Taylors battery hack that was the 2500 one. What do you guys use to get this great battery life, meaning what tweaks in particular. I'd get like 10-12 hrs with light to med usage. Thanks homies.

well.....performance wise kaos's roms for moguls are really good....but considering the PRO is so much more advanced then the mogul you really cant compare roms.......

In my opinion KAOS roms are the best out for the 6800. Try KAOS take 3. I think thats the last one he made for multiple carriers.

flashed this bad boy on my second touch pro and i am amazed on the performance. runs smooth, tweaked it up with taylors cabs and wow. the only issue that i have with the rom is the start icon. doesnt seem to change when i install the taskbar cab. weird...other than that its the best ive used so far.

mine changes without any troubles.... try to reinstall and if it doesnt work dont uninstall the old version of the cab for the taskbar just overwrite it.

Thats because the start icon is named differently in this rom than in alot of other roms. Thats why we were having a hard time getting the icon to change with probex WM7 theme. I believe he made a fix for that. But otherwise, you will have to do it manually.

On mighty ROM 4.12 if you want the start icon you have to.
1. open total commander and copy shellres.192.dll from windows to somewhere, I used my storage card. Rename this file shellres.192.dll.0409.mui.

2. back in windows rename shellres.192.dll.0409.mui adding .bak to it.

3. copy the file you renamed in your storage card to windows and soft reset. go back to Windows and delete the .bak file.

if tc don't work for ya use resco explorer...

The 4.2 i think is the old rom. PPcgeeks said it was a typo and was supposed to be 4.02 then hen came out with 4.12. 4.12 works

4.02 is an old rom and there may be problems with the older versions of youtube......he currently released 4.12 not to long ago and many people are running it woth no problems.......other than that you may want to take this question over to ppcgeeks and ask in the rom thread there if you still want to use this rom version.....although im more then positive mighty will tell you the same thing and to switch to a current rom since it has had many many updates since and my not remember what issues were a nd werent resolved in the older version....he has switched sys and builds every time so there may be conflicts on older roms.

ya it was a typo.....he was doin roms like this......... 4.....4.0.1................4.0.2.........4.0.3 ect.....her got to 4.5.5 then bounced to 4.6-4.12....4.12 being the newest version.

The thread for Mighty rom is here https://www.wckediden.com/showthread.php?t=181448 But if you cant find it on your own, your prolly not ready to flash a ROM yet. Make sure you read the noob guide and flashing tutorials before you attempt to do anything to your phone.

helllo to everyone..so i just installed the mighty rom..and its awesome=D...its fast and the battery WOW!!!it last for along time...i think im going to keep this rom for a while..the only problem i have is that when i try to use the stylus..it doesnt work..i'm only to move the screen with my finger but i cant use my stylus:(..does anybody know the problem with this?thanks in advance =)
