Looking for simple theme - Wckediden

So... My girlfriends LG enV broke. I gave her my xv6800. 6800 has Round 4 Reloaded on it. Easy enough to work with I guess, with the Manila2d interface.

Well, she doesn't use internet so we had it blocked on that phone. So she doesn't need anything as complicated as a WM phone, but that's what she's stuck with.

I have been looking for months for an easy, noob friendly, bare bones interface. Basically, for looks and ease of use, Manila2d seems like the best. This can't be. Isn't there an interface that acts more like a regular phone than a WM phone? YRGO looks stupid and PointUI looks as bad.

She just needs a slick, finger friendly phone. All she does is text and make calls, listen to music and take/view pics. What are the odds you guys can help?

why not try an iphone interface or a ultimate launch

If your looking for simple, easy to use and pretty straight forward, why doesnt she just use the basic Htc home... on just put in a w/e plugins she may use etc, alll laid out plainly in front of her?

Iphone themes have too many buttons and react too slow. I don't have WAD or anything, so torx isn't gonna happen. iFonz was ok, but not for her.. Don't know much about Ultimate Launch though. It would be nice if the software looked like it came with the phone.. Ya know? I wouldn't mind putting the Omnia theme on her phone if I could figure out how.. Not the widgets, but the Omnia today... SPB maybe?

check out ultiate launch since that is what i feel she will like the most and there is even a video or htc home zay said above.

Yeah... HTC home isn't a bad idea either... I'll see which one looks better... I guess I just needed to hash it out on-screen to really start thinking about it... Thanks guys..

Ahh... Ultimate Launch is $$$... I already own SPB... And Home is free too... UL is crossed off...

Looks like it's SPB vs HTC... "And they pull up to the line...."

Also, spb, is no less complicated than manilla/fouch flo 2d, or any of th emore fancier UI... and we have UL here on the site... do a search for it...

i like the spb mobile shell as opposed to the pocket plus but actually either is pretty easy and simple....

i would say vito winterface. simple iphonish theme, quick, and stylish. just tap on the program and you are off

Youve been here since december, and still havent learned the content of our site? Have you even posted an intro in the member introduction threads? There all the staff wouldve gotten you all the need to kno infor on navigating the site and what we have to offer... I suggest you take some more tim to explore and get to learn the site... we have much to offer, and its a shame, and a waste of time, for people to come here, posting away questions without actuallly taking to the time to search a learn on there on...

we have so many different UI's here its almost ridiculous, and we could be here all day, saying try this, try that... so I suggest, just search some terms like 'User Interface', 'today screen', 'today plugins' etc... and I am sure you will find something suitable for your gurl!

Wow. I see that you are a Mod. I guess I don't understand why you would treat me like that. I've been following PPC phones and software for a couple of years now, and thought that the talent and knowledge at Smartphone Junkie would have an opinion that was of some use to me. I guess maybe I should just lurk here.

As far as not knowing that there were cracked downloads here, sorry. I haven't been to any other forums where this is common.

I've searched and searched and searched for interfaces, and tried quite a few out. Like I said, just wanted an expert opinion.

for texting, try sms chat. I loved that app when I had my mogul. Just map it to one of the hardware buttons, its really finger friendly.

Well.. I guess SMS Chat seems to be the app of choice around here.. I'll give it another whirl and see if it will grow on me. Thanks for your help.
