HTC Touch Pro2 for Sprint in June - Wckediden

I met with a rep from HTC today and he has the touch pro 2 already!! I got to play around with it and it is awesome. It will be released on Sprint in mid- June! Then in July Sprint is getting what is called the "Snap". It kind of looks like the Treo Pro. It is a considered a low end WM phone. It is not touch screen and the menu is setup like the Ace and Moto Q.

Back to the Touch Pro 2.... Awesome phone, great interface. Has new calendar, new start menu setup, different battery for longer life. Also the keyboard is seperated rather than all one piece. Anyways I'll shut up, here are the pics!!!

i like the way it looks for sure but why does sprint always have to go colorful on the battery covers and what is up with it being that red color again? oh well that should be able to be dyed. :) nice post.

yea i'm anxious to getting it...but the battery cover do suck.I guess I'll do what dashy did to color it.hahahaha

did you actually take these pics?? i just seen this post over at ppcgeeks and they linked to engadgets.com with these pics and provided info... also what does the tilt option mean?? you can have it like the pic above and standard slide out???

also any word on Diamond2??

haha this was the link i was talking about in the other thread that was just started....i want this bad, but not sure if i can afford it for a while....I know i can do an advance exchange for diamond2 for free or for $100 so i may have to go that route when they drop and regualr diamond are officially out.

I know that it is suppose to be a better phone but I like the look of our Pro's now lol. That looks like just every to plan haha. Maybe my mind will change once i see one in person.

IMO the Sprint Pro 2 looks kick ass, i actually like how the battery cover is designed. I can imagine this beautiful screen with mobile shell 3

im still debating on this or the Pre but the Pre still have a good lead due to some features i want in a device that the Pro doesn't possess and the fact that this pro still uses the old chip set. we will see how this performs and maybe i might change my mind.....

I actually am not to excited about this phone. Diamond2 gets a 5mp camera and all we get is an ugly battery cover/a mute button and a tilt screen?? .. wheres the camera flash? this phone Isn't worth getting to me specially since developers are so close to perfecting tf3d2 on TP..

i know there is a threat for tp2 on tmobile but does anybody know if this means that tp2 is no longer going 2 hit on tmobile?

naw they are still releasing this with t-mobile.... many providers have many of the same phones.... gsm and cdma just name them differently.

I am the one who originally posted this on Sprintusers.com and someone leaked my post to engadget and wmexpert. If you click the link on engadget it takes you to my post on sprintusers and the info on wmexpert website actually gives my username on there giving credit. The tilt is the screen. IT slides up and then you can swivle it up and down at an angle. Yep you can just have it normal slide out also.

sweet man that swivel option sounds well worth it to me...im in need of a hard kb now....just checkin if you werent the original poster....I dont want any issues round the board...sometimes ppl forget to link to OP...I've even forgoten once before....thanks for the pics BTW they look amazing.!!

I can't wait to exchange my TP for the TP2. I keep having keyboard errors. I'm on my 3rd TP so far. At the rate Htc is going we'll have the TP3 by Christmas.

The TP2 looks ill front to back but if it does not have any new features im geting the Pre and does anyone know the screen size of the TP2, is it bigger then iphone and the HTC HD screen?

me personally not a keyboard person.. I barely used the keyboard.. I got my Tp for like 65 bucks from boy.. I would've prob got the diamond if i had to decide, I prefer the slim on a phone then the bulk.. When i got my son his instinct the slimness is really nice, but when u turn it on u are like what the heck is this mess lol..

the screen is 3.6 WVGA = 480x800 same as Touch HD and bigger than iphone

I deleted the pics and am waiting for the mods to delete this thread. I and my boss were contacted by HTC, and they were not happy about me posting the pics. So I have to take down all pics and threads I posted.
