PocketShield v2718 htc NEW 23/06

PocketShield v2.7.1.7[/b]
Requirements: WM6.1 Overview: PocketShield is an intelligent locking/unlocking application. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you. ![]() Have you ever accidentally ignored an incoming call? Have you ever accidentally answered a call and left the caller 'talking to your pocket'? Have you ever accidentally dismissed reminders or alarms? …or 'never heard of them'? Has your phone ever freezed because of too much 'touch input'? Have you ever had programs mysteriously starting 'by themselves'? Has your ear ever started a program? Has your phone ever drained out batteries too fast because of being ON inside your pocket? If you answered 'YES!' for any of the questions above, then this is great news for you! More Info: Codehttp://www.pocketshield.net/ What is? PocketShield is an intelligent locking/unlocking application. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you. For example: when receiving calls, email notifications, SMS, alarms, etc. As you may have experienced, PocketPCs “wake up” whenever any of these events occur, they will also wake up when batteries are low, and randomly when phone signal changes antenna depending on your location. But the problem is: what if the phone is inside your pocket in that moment? or inside its case or pouch? Touch screens will take any touch over it as a user input, and arbitrary “touching” could cause many undesired results! (refer to questions on top). “But Windows Mobile has a built in screen locker!” Yes, Windows Mobile locks the screen, but unlocks the Answer and Ignore buttons as soon as a call rings, so doesn't help. The same happens when any notification pops up, the Snooze and Dismiss buttons are enabled even when screen is locked, leaving them vulnerable to any accidental touch. Oh! Now I see… So, how it works? PocketShield completely locks the screen when phone wakes up and is inside your pocket or case, and unlocks it automatically as soon as you take it off. Magic? Now a days, most phones come with an integrated light sensor, PocketShield uses this sensor to determine if the phone is inside something(without light reaching it). So if it’s receiving light it is probably because you have it in your hand, or you have it over your desk, or someplace where there would be no reason to have it locked. [more...] Interesting… But what if it’s dark or it is night? Good question! If that’s the case, you still have 5+ extra unlock options: * Hand gesture, moving it in a particular way. * Slide your finger over the screen from the top towards down. * Stylus out. * Press D-pad round button. * Application permissions You can combine any of the 5 unlocking mechanisms, as they are designed to work together. Choose the configuration that suits you better! So, during day, unlocking is going to be 100% automatic, no need to worry. Only at night (or when no light) you would need an alternative way to unlock. [more...] Features * Auto lock, no need to worry about locking, just turn off(sleep) your phone and feel confident. * Screen auto-unlock when out of pocket, or when light available. * Screen unlock by sliding finger from top towards down (vertical sliding for improved hand ergonomics) * Unlock by gestures (flipping or shaking phone). * Unlock and lock with stylus. * Customizable hardware keys blocking. * Answer calls by gestures, or slide. * Vibration feedback when you unlock or when auto-unlocks. * Digital clock with date option. 12H or 24H option. * Displays caller name, number and contact picture for incoming and outgoing calls. * Displays missed calls, reminders, alarms, SMS, email, voice-mail. * Accurate battery bar indicator. * Manual lock. * Option to directly power off device when manually locked. * Auto power off after 20 seconds if never unlocked (battery protection). * Screen protection during calls (or after calls). * Customizable layout and/or background image. * Skins/themes supported. * Application permissions for unlock, grant clearance to specific apps. * System settings helper. * [more...] Languages Settings are available in the following languages: EN, FR, RU, PT, DE, IT, HU, NO, SK, SV, ES, CS, RO, TC, CN, NL, CA, PL, JP, DK. Is this a battery killer app? Not at all! Tests performed didn't throw any additional(nor noticeable) battery drain. When device is in unlocked state, PocketShield enters sleep mode so no extra battery is consumed (as well as when device is in standby/Off). Instead, it will help you avoid battery drain when turned on unintentionally, thanks to the auto power off mechanism it incorporates. RAM footprint? The activated version with no theme uses a range of 1.6Mb -1.8Mb of RAM. Not actually all because of itself, all .Net Framework based applications use a bit of extra memory to load some system libraries for quicker access and performance. To have a reference, the standard HTC Calculator which is a very simple application uses 1.2Mb. PocketShield takes only 0.4Mb extra, and this because it has to deal with light sensor, g-sensor, touch sliding, call handling, notifications, etc. HTC Diamond has 196Mb RAM and TouchPro has 288Mb, that is 0.85% and 0.6% of used memory, in both cases less than 1%. What’s new? - Notifications customization. - Notification booster while in standby (will remind you your desired alerts and notifications so you never forget them). - Slide-to-snooze for Notifications booster. - Option to lock(or power off) with stylus in. - Auto display hidden WM notifications after unlocking (no more need to click over the tiny taskbar bell). - WM6.5 fully supported. - WM Alarm supported in Applications Permissions (PS unlock upon WM alarm) - Lite mode: can disable completely phone and/or notification options to just leave lock/unlock features. What’s better? - 15 secs power off (or only screen off with app permissions) - Design tab / Themes - Second calls handling - Overall performance improvements - Application Permissions optimized for music players - Bigger caller ID picture What’s fixed? - Taskbar pop over when qwerty out - Caller ID issues - Light sensor false peaks causing random unlocking - Installation location can now be Storage Card. i don't know what the problem is. i was using the older version and thought it was great. i installed the newer version and the phone keeps getting unlocked somehow. when i'm at work i wear big heavy bib overalls and a big thigh length coat over my clothes. when i check my phone i've often made several 8-15 second phone calls. i can't figure out how it's getting unlocked. any ideas? plz and thnx

i would make sure you have the hardware keys disabled as that is most likely your problem.

i think the hard keys were my problem. i uninstalled and reinstalled didn't mess with the settings to much. now it's a great app once more!

Re: PocketShield v2718 htc NEW 23/06
no it's not the hardware keys they're disabled. it happened again tonight. the phone would've had to turn on, navigate to the people tab, then call. the number it called is at the top of my favorites in the people tab, i'm running tf3d2. maybe i need a new case. i use the case that came with the tpro, velcro, horrible. on the waist it does get a lot of bumping at work.....but it still shouldn't be calling out.

ok dude can you imagine how, in the case, it would do the vertical sliding action of unlocking it? on the unlocking tab of the configuration what all options do you have selected? dont be shy with the information, we need as much as you have to help you diagnose the problem as i'm pretty sure none of us are mind readers. =]

OK, so I made the mistake of hitting the "Check for updates" button and downloaded ver.2.7.2.2, now its asking for "activation." Is there a keygen somewhere or should i just go back to the one in the first post?

just reninstall and use the newest version posted here following the steps to get it activated again for you....... on crakced apps 99.9% of the time you cant run the update without ir not staying registered since when cracking an app you overwrite certain files like dlls making it not recognize registration or recognize it as being registered already.

basically the stock dialer is just a "push" to answer system where the new dialer you may have is the slider to answer system. it wants to switch you to the push version b/c in my estimation it has to emulate that sliding mechanism which takes a tad longer hence the 2second delay they mention.
now if you use their slide 2 answer system from pocketshield its a vertical layout where the left hand side of the phone will answer & the right side will reject the call. hope that helps good luck |
