[RELEASE] UPDATE: Link added YES Anohter update from verizon! Visual VM works

I installed this on my phone. It works. DIdn't need to call verizon to get visual vm working. Just put in my password. I will test tonight to see if they got rid of the GPS lag.

XV-6850 Software Upgrade Instructions


Welcome to the XV-6850 Software Upgrade Utility. This program will take you through the installation of the software update.
Upgrade Process Compatible OS: Windows 2000, Windows XP 32-bits, Windows XP 64-bits, Windows Vista 32-bits and Windows Vista 64-bits
Some of the primary enhancements with this upgrade are:

• Added Visual Voicemail support.
• Added EVRC B capability
• Added Standalone GPS Capability.

Before you continue, please ensure that the following items have been completed:


**Please sync the data on your device to your PC prior to initiating this upgrade.


1.This upgrade requires that ActiveSync 4.5 (applies only to PCs using Windows 2000 and XP OS) be installed on your computer. This may be a different version than the one with which the XV-6850 shipped. The most current version of ActiveSync is available as a free download from Microsoft at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ivesync45.mspx
Note: For PCs using Windows Vista OS please used the Windows Device Manager please connect the XV6800 using Windows Mobile Device Center. You can download the latest version at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...ce-center.mspx

2.Close all other applications on your device and PC.

3.Download the Maintenance Release version: RUU_Raphael_C_VZW_WWE_1.08.605.4_RS_615021_VZW_1.0 3.09V_2.01_58002_Ship.exe to your computer. Do not attempt to run it from its current location.

4.Ensure that your device is charged at least 50%. You can check this by selecting Start>Settings>Power.

5.Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable and ActiveSync.

6.Double click on the RUU_Raphael_C_VZW_WWE_1.08.605.4_RS_615021_VZW_1.0 3.09V_2.01_58002_Ship.exe
7.Follow the instruction prompts on the screen.

8.After upgrade completes the device will power-cycle.

damn, too bad this isn't for sprint...I guess verizon is trying to make it up to people for crippling their pros, I'll take more memory over visual voice mail any day though :-D
