SHOUTcast 0.9.06 for webOS



In development (when I've had time) for the past month and a half, SHOUTcast for the Pre gets its day in beta!

Yes, it'll (hopefully) be in the App Catalog; in fact, it's the app I signed up to create back in the Early Access program and I signed up to be a SHOUTcast Partner back in June. Life just got in the way for a month and a half, but I've been working on it here and there all along. ;)

0.7.76: Initial beta.

0.8.35:
* Fixed scrims jumping in Search.
* Made Search enter key-only for submission.
* Refactored the player code to accommodate new UI fixes.
* Cleaned up error detection and reporting routines.
* Made temporary changes to the database groupings for Recent and Favorites
(NOTE: You'll need to delete and re-add the app in the NEXT update--no way around it).
* Added some opacity to the .palm-button class. Snazzy.
* Adjusted the credits to something a bit more professional.
* Added more cleanup routines (less overhead), got rid of old code.

0.8.37:
* SHOUTcast required me to replace the header image; done.

YOU WILL NEED TO UNINSTALL/REINSTALL THE APP TO USE 0.9.00. USE THE NATIVE ORANGE-TAP METHOD (OR LAUNCHER -> LIST APPS) TO DELETE THE APP COMPLETELY. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS THE DATABASE MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RECREATED UPON REINSTALL AND YOU WILL MAKE A BABY KITTEN CRY.

YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FAVORITES THIS ONE TIME ONLY.

0.9.00:
* Fixed de-dupe routines for 'Recent' and 'Favorites'.
* Made major additions/changes to SQL queries throughout the player.
* Expanded 'favorites' table to accommodate play counts.
* Return message if a attempting to add a Favorite that already exists.
* Removed AAC/AAC+ until Palm fixes the issue. Sorry, dudes.
* Added auto-ordering based on play count for 'My Favorites'.
* Show Play Count in 'My Favorites'.

0.9.05:
* Fixed issue with hanging Audio() object on erratically-buffering stations.
* Performance boosts during casual use.

0.9.06:
* Re-added AAC/AAC+ stations. Do note there is a known issue with many of these stations playing slowly, which is a bug known to Palm. For now, I'll keep these stations available so everyone can enjoy those that do work.

Upcoming:

* Continuing optimizations.
* 'Genres' will end up a filterlist when I get some time.
* Work on UI a bit more to accommodate the upcoming Pixi.

Post 1.0 Roadmap:

* Sleep Timer
* Favorite Genres
* Filter/Sort/Preference on Bitrates
* Custom PLS-playlist streams as Favorites.
* Allow playthrough of streams while browsing for others.

Known Issues:

* Does not read the SHOUTcast metadata (song titles, etc) in the player. See thread for reasons. May have found a way; I'm working on it.
* Many AAC/AAC+ stations may play back at 1/2 speed. This is not an app issue, but a bug known to Palm.
