Activesync problem
Just started havin this problem.
When I connect my usb cable to my phone so I can sync it up w/ MS Outlook, Activesync says its connected but shows an error message that says sychronization cannot be completed. Now, when I go to the troubleshooting section of Activesync it says, ZoneAlarm Security Suite has been detected. Firewall settings can prevent Windows Mobile powered devices from connecting. Get up-to-date solutions to common firewall problems and step by step instructions for correcting them. Please click the following link: Code:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=65178 But, the problem is, I have no ZoneAlarm installed on this computer. Any ideas? |

Re Activesync problem
Tried running a system restore back to before you first started having the problem? Installed anything new, and was it doing that before you installed it IF you have?
Just throwing some ideas out there... *shrug* |

Re Activesync problem
I tried the system restore thing and still doing the same thing, it has to be something w/ the phone because i also tried syncing it w/ my laptop and got the same results.
The only new thing I have done to my phone recently was added an email account that is on an exchange server. Thought that might be the prob so I deleted that acct and no luck. I have not done or added anything to this computer in the last 6 months Last edited by dredd8; 10-04-2009 at 07:12 PM. |

Re Activesync problem
i agree with dash on a hard reset, one thing i always try is reinstall the active sync on your pc..like dash said do a backup on your ppc but more than likely u will have to hard reset.....its really not that bad...i flash all the time so i got a system in putting things back together............

Re: Activesync problem
Well I installed ATR3 rom and now my phone wont sync on XP or Vista I uninstalled active sync and reinstalled it and I uninstalled windows mobile device center on vista machine and reinstalled it. I did a hard reset on phone and soft reset not that there was anything on it cause I cant get it to sync to put contacts on it.
