[NEWS] July 2024 update out now for Galaxy S23 to make it more secure

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It brings the July 2024 security patch to these phones, which fixes 58 security issues.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the latest security update to international as well as carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked variants of the three phones for the United States. The new firmware for the international variant is live in many African, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries, including India, South Africa, and UAE.

The version of the new firmware for international variants is S91XBXXS6CXFC, for carrier-locked models is S91XUSQS4CXE9, and for carrier-unlocked variants is S91XU1UES4CXE9.

If your Galaxy S23 hasnt notified you about the update, you can check it manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install.

If you dont see an update, then it means that Samsung hasnt made it available in your region or for your device. In that case, keep checking every now and then until you see it.

If you dont want to keep doing that, you can download the new firmware from our database and install it manually.

Galaxy S23 to get One UI 6.1.1 by December 2024

Samsung has revealed that it will roll out One UI 6.1.1 from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to older devices by the end of this year. It will bring many new features to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, including ones powered by Galaxy AI for editing images, translating content, and more.
