With 2023's Galaxy S23 FE using Exynos and Snapdragon chips that were launched more than a year prior to their launch, Samsung fans have waited with bated breath to find out what chips power this year's Galaxy S24 FE.

The leaks, rumors, and online benchmark entries for the Galaxy S24 FE had already revealed the answer. Now that the phone is official, Samsung has officially confirmed what we have been hearing for weeks.

Galaxy S24 FE gets a modified Exynos 2400 chip everywhere

An Exynos chip powers the Galaxy S24 FE in*all*markets. Yes, that includes the US, Canada, and China, which almost always get Snapdragon variants of all flagship Galaxy smartphones and even the Fan Edition spin-offs.



The S24 FE doesn't have the exact same Exynos chip as the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. It has what Samsung is calling the Exynos 2400e. Compared to the Exynos 2400, the Exynos 2400e gets a slightly lower clock speed on the single Cortex-X4 core, which is the fastest and most powerful of the ten cores.

The Cortex-X4 core on the S24 FE is clocked at 3.11GHz instead of 3.21GHz. But the other cores have not been downgraded in any way, and neither has the GPU from what we know. So, for all intents and purposes, the Galaxy S24 FE will perform as well as the S24 and S24+, and it will be similarly efficient as the Exynos 2400 and 2400e are made using the same 4nm manufacturing process.

The Exynos 2400e is accompanied by 8GB of RAM on all storage variants. You don't get a variant with 12GB of RAM. However, Samsung has finally introduced a 512GB storage option to the FE lineup. The 512GB option may not be available everywhere, though. Some markets might get the same old 128GB and 256GB options.
