Galaxy Tab S10 leaks started well before the lineup went official, and a common thread among all the leaks was that Samsung will only be selling two models, the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.

The company was said to be skipping the base model for reasons unknown, and now, that has been confirmed. The Galaxy Tab S10 lineup really does consist of only a Plus and Ultra model. There is no regular Galaxy Tab S10.



It's unclear why Samsung made this decision. One Samsung representative suggested that the demand for premium tablets with a strong AI experience was the reason, though it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Without a base model, Samsung's latest flagship tablets will be out of reach for many, as the starting price is now $999. We would assume Samsung would want to bring the Galaxy AI experience to as many users as possible, but that's not the case here. Perhaps a base model will launch later on, but that's just speculation.

Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra specs and features

The Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra offer the same display sizes and battery capacities as their predecessors. The Tab S10+ features a 12.4-inch AMOLED display and the Ultra model features a 14.6-inch AMOLED display. Both tablets have a wonderful anti-reflection coating for reduced reflections and glare.

Battery capacities for the Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra are 10,090 mAh and 11,200 mAh respectively, with 45W charging speeds on both. The tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset in all markets and come with 12GB RAM as standard with 256GB and 512GB storage options.

The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also has a variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Both models support microSD expansion up to 1.5TB. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also has support for Wi-Fi 7. Despite using the same chip, the Tab S10+ tops out at Wi-Fi 6E.



Other specs of the tablets include 13MP+8MP dual rear cameras, 12MP wide+12MP ultrawide dual front cameras on the Ultra and a single 12MP ultrawide front camera on the Plus model, an under-display fingerprint sensor, S Pen support ( stylus included in box), IP68 water and dust resistance, and quad speakers.

The Galaxy Tab S10+ and Ultra run Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 out of the box and are eligible for seven years of software updates. They also offer a full-fledged Galaxy AI experience.
