Android’s new single app screen sharing feature is getting less restrictive
One of the key features of the Android 15 update is its much more private screen recording system. Instead of recording or casting the entire screen, you can record or cast a single app, making it easier to avoid leaking sensitive information. However, if you ever need to change what app you’re recording or casting, you have to end the current session and start a new one. Google is thankfully working on a new feature that’ll let you change what app you’re sharing midway through a screen recording or screen casting session. Currently, when you record a single app and then switch to a different app, Android pauses the recording until you switch back to the original app. After switching back, it resumes recording until you manually stop the recording.
