Galaxy S24 FE is first Samsung phone to get October 2024 update
The Galaxy S24 FE has been available for purchase around the world for less than a week, but it is already getting its first software update. This update is rolling out in the US on Verizon's network and comes with the latest security patch.
The October 2024 security update for Galaxy devices was detailed by Samsung earlier this week. At the time of writing, it doesn't seem to be available for any other Galaxy smartphone, but we assume that is temporary and the update will arrive on some devices before the end of this week. The update bumps the firmware version on the Galaxy S24 FE to S721USQS2AXI5. In some countries, the phone might come with this firmware pre-installed.
