[NEWS] Google attempts to fix Android Auto stuttering issue without success

A few months ago, Google pushed an update to the Android Auto app. After installing it, people started reporting that when they connected their Android device to their car’s infotainment system over Android Auto wirelessly, they were facing many connection and performance issues. Some of the main problems were that the music playback stuttered and people on the other end of the call weren’t able to hear the users. Well, Google has released a fix for those issues but it looks like people aren’t happy with it.

In November 2024, Google released Android Auto version 13.2, claiming that the update fixes the issues people have been facing when connecting wirelessly. Unfortunately, after installing the update, people noticed that it didn’t fix any of the issues they had been facing. It is worth pointing out that the same issues don’t persist when using the wired connection.

Android Auto 13.3 doesn't fix the issue either; Will version 13.4 do the trick?

Google then released Android Auto 13.3 but that also didn't fix the issue. Last week, the company rolled out Android Auto 13.4. However, Google has offered it to only a limited number of people. So, there’s no information yet on whether it fixes the issue. We hope that it does as Android Auto is crucial to people, allowing them to take calls, use Google Maps, and listen to music while driving without taking their eyes off the road. Until a fix arrives, it's best to use the wired connection as it doesn’t have any of those issues.
