Spotify is the world's leading music streaming service. It's used by countless people across the globe to listen to their favorite music, podcasts, and more. As you can imagine, people won't be too happy if the app starts to give them trouble.



That's precisely what's happening for some Galaxy phone users, though. They have taken to online forums to complain about the Spotify app randomly crashing or freezing up on their device for no apparent reason.



No clarity on what's causing the issues



The issue has been impacting many users for the better part of two weeks now. Some are only just experiencing it while others have been putting up for it since the past two weeks.



Users have written about their issues on Spotify's official forums as well, complaining about issues such as persistent app crashes and freezes that basically make the app unusable. It's not just Samsung phones that are suffering from the issues, many Google Pixel users have complained about the same.



There doesn't appear to be a clear workaround for this just yet. Merely switching to a different Wi-Fi network doesn't prevent the app from crashing or freezing up. Some users also say that uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't do much, either. It appears to stem from some issue with the Wi-Fi connectivity as users report no issues when streaming content over a cellular data connection.



Spotify is reportedly looking into the matter but the company has not provided any further details at this point in time. Those who are fed up with the issues can either downgrade to an older version of the app or wait until an update is released that addresses the issues.
