Android phone makers try to match Apple's ecosystem features, but it is harder for them to do so as they don't have their own desktop operating system like Apple does. Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has been bringing newer features to make Android phones work well with Windows devices. Once such a feature could allow Galaxy Books to stream audio to two Galaxy Buds simultaneously.



Windows 11 will get Bluetooth LE Audio Auracast



A couple of months ago, Microsoft added Bluetooth LE Audio, which improves audio quality on wireless earbuds and headsets, to Windows 11. Now, the company is planning to add another Bluetooth LE Audio feature to devices running Windows 11. According to TheVerge's report, Microsoft is currently testing Bluetooth Auracast, a feature that enables a computer to simultaneously play audio on two wireless earbuds.



To use the Auracast feature, both the computer and the earbuds must support Bluetooth LE Audio. Currently, this feature is available on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro, Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, the seventh-generation Surface Laptop (13.8-inch and 15-inch), and the latest 13-inch Surface Pro.



Samsung’s wireless audio devices that support Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast include the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. This means a Galaxy Book 5 Pro could stream audio to two Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (or any other compatible model) units simultaneously.
