its clear i scanned with nod32 your prolly using kapersky or norton and they alsways detect all keygens, cracks, and patches as a trojan.

hmm, well it put all kinds of crap on my laptop. idk if it was bad timing with something else or what, but following that i got pop-ups like crazy and all kinds of crap happened. i had to do a restore just to make it stop.

i have scanned again and still am fine and even opened and installed...... anyone else care to give a scan?

I scanned w/ AVG...nothing. Went to install, double clicked the PowerISO4.2.exe, and AVG popped up a warning about a trojan.

that would mean that you should be fine since you scanned before opening........ anyone else???? if so i will look into this further.

Yup....I healed the infected file, and went ahead and installed and registered w/ keygen without issue. Thanks!

So what was the warning after I clicked the exe about?

This is what AVG said basically (it didn't actually say bla\bla):

basically some of the lower line virus scans will read all cracks, keygens, and patches as a virus or trojan. we are getting better as a community with getting this figured out but still have some major work to be done since many are still reading the same.

Is some part of the keygen packed into the poweriso exe? I'm asking because I didn't click the keygen until after poweriso installed...

yes thats how the keygens work..... patches and cracks can work a little differently.

I know it's been a few days on this, but I had the same Trojan warning. Turned off my anti-vir and installed. So far no issues with pop ups or anything.

yeah many will read that way you just have to know your sources that you get stuff from or use a high end virus scan... i do both so rest assured guys, whatever i post will be virus/trojan/problem free :>

ok im using norton 360 and have recently reformatted my computer. before i did i had no problem ever installing anything from here. now whenever i try to open the keygen it wont open...and i cant seem to figure out how to turn off norton :-/ im getting rather angry haha

Its recommended, just because norton is crap and will detect keygens/cracks as viruses.

its a feature of the new norton..... supposedly protects you better but can lead to a lot of troubles like that.....
