Want to take screenshots of your fav. xbox game?
Now U could with this simple file the only thing u will need is a pc , a xbox and a connection between the two (ethernet) ((can be through router/hub etc)
here is the tutorial on how to use the screen shot program: So For anybody that doesnt hav the software or doesnt know how here's another tutorial to get you all taking quick and easy screenshots of your xbox while playing. Please note this is very simply 3 stages, install debug files, launch & setup XIG2, However for the noobs ammong us i will go into detail, so please dont be put off by the legnth of this tutorial. Please note, that you MUST have a modded console in order to do this, softmod or Chipped is fine ************************************************** ************** ******************STEP 1-INSTALLING THE DEBUG FILES ******************* ************************************************** ****************** Open up the Xig_and_xdi.Rar file and extract the contents, You'll find the original readme etc, The most important are the two folders. So first things first we'll begin with XDI, which is the most importan thing, This will put the needed debug files onto your xbox. Open up the XDI (Xbox Debug Installer) Folder Start the "debug installer" file Enter your Xbox's Dashboard IP into the box that pops up Select your apps foldr in the next box (most people have it as E: so you may need to change it from "/F:/apps/" to "/E:/apps/" On the Next box Click "Grab Settings" Fill in ALL fields of the Box.... [NAME]-name for your xbox any single word is fine [IP ADDY]- Debug IP, Any free Ip on your network (example, my xbox ip is 192.168.1.7 so i set my debug ip as 192.168.1.11(only change last digit(s)) [NetMask]- Leave as 255.255.255.0 [Gateway]-First 3 digits from your xbox ip & debug, last digit is 0, (so min ewould be 192.168.1.1, some people may have 192.168.0.1) [Dashboard-Click to scan for dashboard files, then select which dashboard you would like to use for debug mode, Many people will use E:/apps/xbmc/default.xbe But you can use Any xbe it finds. (if the installation doesnt work usually trying a diff dashboard will work) [Hard Drive] Select What kind of Hard-Drive you have, If you havn't changed your hard-drive select "stock Drive" For Drives upto 137gb Select F: up to 137gb, no G And for anyone with a larger drive 160, 200gb etc, etc. the 3rd selection (F:>137gb, No G) Is usually best [Xbox Version] Select either 1.0-1.5 or 1.6 for your xbox version (if your console is less than a year old it's possibly 1.6) If your not sure, try 1.0-1.5, if after a trying a dif dash it still doesnt work then try 1.6 Your Completed Box Should Hopefully Look Something Like This (these are my settings for a 80gb hdd, 1.4 xbox router is 192.168.1.1 (gateway) and xbox is 1.7, the debug i created fior my xbox was 1.11 Once you've checked the settings hit "Install Debug" That should be it for Step one, It should say Done or Complete at the bottom, Now it's onto Getting the screenshots ************************************************** ****************** ************* STEP 2 - ENTERING DEBUG MODE ************************ ************************************************** ****************** Now you've installed th eDebug Files, Reboot your Xbox, Look In Applications (or E:/apps/, Wherever you selected the apps folder) You should Find a Folder Called XIG, This is th eLauncher to Enter Debug mode. Simply select and launch the default.xbe or Launch the "XR8D Xbox Image Grabber" If launching from your applications/apps Menu After a short Flash Screen your xbox will Launch Into Debug Mode and the Dashboard you selected above Will load up (if nothing loads, turn off, on, and repeat Step 1, with a differant Dashboard selected) If your selected Dashboard Loads up, you've Done it And your onto Step 3... If you turn your xbox power Off, remember to launch "XR8D Xbox Image Grabber"to go into debug next time you want shots ************************************************** ****************** ************** STEP 3 - XIG, Taking ScreenShots************************ ************************************************** ****************** Open the "Xbox Image Grabber Folder Launch The "XIG2" File Open the "Advanced" Extension by clicking on "advanced" in the bottom Right, Then Click On Settings. On the Settings Box Enter The Debug IP in the 1st filed. Browse and select a path for your xbox Images to be save dto Enter Your Xbox's Dashboard Ip, into the third field. This is how my Settings look Now Click Save & Exit, And close Xig2, Re-Launch Xig2, and with Your xbox in Debug mode Click on "Test-Debug" After a short interval it should say "Debug Services Working Correctly" in the Advanced tab. Your now Ready to Take your First Screen-shot, Simply Click on "Capture" After a few seconds, your image will appear in the main xig2 window and you will find the saved image in the directory/folder you selected in options. ************************************************** **************** *********************XIG 2 - ADVANCED EXTRAS********************* ************************************************** *************** Xig 2 is a great program and has a few extra's you can use. Most of these are found below, for any further information check the official xig site at http://xr8d.net/dev File Type's Xig Can save as a variety of differant image types, These are simply selected by clicking on the corresponding name just below the main xig window (jpg, bmp, png etc,) Timer With The Advanced tab open you can select Enable Timer, this will take a screenshot at set intervals, so with "60" entered into the box below the timer button, Xig2 will automatically take a screenshot every 1 minute. Add Timestamp/watermark These buttons found on the advnced tab will manually add the timestamp & watermark to your picture, settings are explained below, (these buttons ar euseless if you select to automatically enter timestamp and watermark Resize Image If required you can have Xig2 Automatically resize the screenshots as it saves them, simply check the "resize image _ enabled" Box.. and enter the size (in Pixles) in the box's below. Timestamp Automatically Add text to your picture (this can also be added manually see earlier section) Simply enable or enter your own prameter's, Min eis set up as -> "TA-Hulk_obie: %date %time" This Automatically adds the date, time And my name & kaitag to all screenshots Watermark Personally i dont use this, But it allows you to select and use/automatically use a .bmp file as a watermark PHP Here you can enter details of your PHP Host, username and password, if Enables Xig will automatically upload All pics to the selected host FTP As Above, but with FTP, If you have a ftp server, you can enter the details and if enabled xig will automatically upload your pics to your FTP server/site And Here Is the Link To the Files http://rapidshare.de/files/11688419/...PortZ.rar.html Have fun :yahoo: :yahoo: |
