Improve Wi-Fi Speed!
Here is a great tweak that speeds up your Wi-Fi.. It works by enabling the “g mode” of your devices WLAN card (disabled by default on most devices). This hack has proven to improve Wi-Fi speeds by 3 times..

Iinstall the attached .CAB to the device, then soft reset. It will change the value of dot11SupportedRateMaskG from the default 4 (1 in some cases) to 8 inside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\TNETWLN1\PARMS.
Note: Some devices don't have that structure in the registry. If it's your case, our cab will create it automatically.

I do not take credit for the creation of this.. I merely happened to find this on pocket now by chance.....

READ: I myself have yet to personally try this out but intend to shortly and will report. If any other junkies have any feedback it would be appreaciated. Its just a reg tweak. If your ROMs chef cooked that reg tweak in, then there is no need for this cab. So check the log of your cab(or just look at your registry) and see if it includes these changes.

i tested it out on a couple of different files and it seems to work pretty well..about 2 times faster on my kaiser....so just a heads up for people who are still skeptical

LOL....I know right? But I feel that I should say the same then. I always research and personally test all my posts (with the exception of one or two so far out of 60) and read all prior feedback before I search then post. And on top of that I don't just go posting anything that i happen to come across. I try and only post the ones that i think might stand out amongst Dash's Sea of hardcore apps, Kaos' untiouchable ROM's, and I could go on forever about the hard work staff puts into the site. So................what? my name being underneath the thread title wasn't good enough???
