You can set your device to sync your email thru activesync on device(configure server) thats the screen your getting..

I should probably take this to another thread or start a new one. I dont have it set to download email but it keeps tellingme to correct my exchange server credentials. it keeps tellingme my username and password are incorrect. The rom i downloaded was verizon so i downloaded a sprint carrier cab hoping that might fix it but it didnt. I'll keep looking and if i dont find i will start a new thread. thanks.

I would check both exchange settings on ur device and on ur computer. i am not quite sure where on vista they are stored; however on xp they are control panel > Mail > Email Accounts.

well if it has the verizon stuff installed i would try a different one...what rom are you running currently?

Hi I'm very new at this i trying to find the ruu.zip program and none of the links work I have looked everywhere and can not find it I have a nbh kaos take 5 rom I would like to try on my mogul I currently have the phone unlocked and upgraded to sprints stock rom 3.56.would appreciated any help?

have you used the search feature at all? have you clicked on the tab next to the search feature that says roms? come on dude for real..... you cant rush these things or you will ruin your device. so be sure to read and the links work fine.

Hey guys, new to the site, really diggin' the info. I NEVER post to forums because I hate to be "that guy" that didn't search and locate the info...so I read...I read SO much that wifey gets mad because she says i'm wasting hours staring at the PC--but my marital problems are the least of my concern right now...I am a tech savvy guy...i'm generally pretty mechanically savvy as well...so i'm not necessarily having a problem with the procedure, but with one piece of info that i'm sure if I had it, all this would make sense to me...I still use my mogul(waiting for sprint to GIVE me the pro since the mog'ster is actin' up) and I have two of them. one of them, however, I want to give my son(12, but 5'10) so he can feel ballerific and stunt out like pops--BUT he has metro...I didn't want to say it, because I KNOW the eyes are rolling like "THIS idiot":rolleyes:...anyways, on to my question...the FLASHING process, do I need his old phone's esn to get the mog going on metro, or do I need to contact Metro to add the mog esn to their database or what?--i just foresee pushback from metro on that for some reason--- I mean, if I knew THAT part of the equation, all the leg work will be easy..I just like to make sure I understand things in my mind first, before I do 'em(which explains the novel that I just wrote)..if someone could just make THAT clear to me, then I will take the rest and run--and i'll take the humiliation of being the NOOB that asked a question that's been answered 18 million times!!

How do I activate a phone after flashing from Alltel to Sprint? Bought a Diamond, unlocked it, flashed a Sprint ROM and now not sure how to transfer old phone account to the new Diamond. I have searched with no luck. Called Sprint and they said it can't be done. Can you point in the right direction?

That's what I thought. Sprint said it is GSM because Alltel is owned by AT&T. Maybe I should call again to see if someone else there can do it. Otherwise, other option to swap the serial numbers.

Thanks for your help. Are the hex #'s same for Alltel and Sprint or are they carrier specific. Is that why they say they can't activate?

Thought I'd update....Talked to Sprint and they couldn't locate the DEC # on their system. The rep had to put in a service request to load the # on the system. Should be able to activate phone on Monday. We'll see...

.037 is the unlocker. And yes, your phone does need to be unlocked to run a custom rom

sorry if i sound really dumb but im really new at this like seriously i just got my htc yesterday so i dont really know what step to follow in here cause i have a factory unlocked touch pro, ive tryed to download the rom update from the htc site and it didnt work it says the rom update wont work for my phone again sorry if i sound really dumb

Hey bro u gotta start somewhere right ur good bro u dont sound dumb every noob goes through this ,look up on the first post and look for touch pro and READ carefully first off u have to unlock ur phone once unlocked u can then move on to flashing to a custom rom .

that would depend, who is our carrier or what type of phone do you have, AT&T (GSM) or Sprint (CDMA)?

you can't install the gsm rom on cdma and vise versa, it will brick your phone.

if you have sprint, check out the sss rom. TF3D2 and as well as other goodies.

Um I think I may have bricked my phone lol here's wht happened:

Tried to flash to sprint 3.35 rom so i could flash to Kaos 3 enhanced for alltel.
Everything went ok until I tried to flash the rom. It got stuck with error 290 then got the bootload screen.

So I tried again (like 3 times) and got the same error. So I tried running the exit bootloader. It soft reset my phone and now im looking at the HTC logo screen saying "no radio" at the bottom. Can't do anything else. BTW I tried removing the battery but to no avail.

One more thing. I ran the executable for the rom but not from the RUU folder. Was that where I messed up?

Nah, I had the nbh file and put it into the ruu folder. then I ran the unlocker. I don't remember having to extract anything from the ruu

Hold up did u even unlock ur phone sounds to me like u ran the rom before unlocking ur phone?

Ok, I think I finally got it. Where I messed up was assuming the bootload screen would go away on its own. At that screen you have to either

1 - run the RUU or Stock Rom
or
2 - run the exit bootloader

I ran the Stock sprint rom 3.35 from bootloader and it worked great! Now I have Kaos Take 3 Enhanced running on my phone. It took a little getting messy but it worked.

Oh yeah the rom flashed successfully and all....most is well. Can't seem to get to internet with this rom. But that's for another thread. Thanks for the help!
