1) put opera in PC mode. :)

2) you have a touch? if you already have it set as your default keyboard it should work fine, you may have to edit an option in opera or something or MAYBE its a glitch.. :D

I would'nt say nescessarily faster but you get full internet pages instead of some of the mobile sites you get with IE.

pfft atm the newest is shat.... you can tell its beta. it looks flashy but i had approximately 18k mem on it and yet loading any page it tells me im out of ram every time... about 5 times per page...

anyone know what the major differences would be between builds 1522 and 1718? I am using 1522 right now and its working just fine for me, but would it be to my advantage to upgrade? I think I read that someone upgraded to a newer build and it didnt run as well as the previous build.

i sticked with 1522. the latest beta is defenetly faster, smoother, but it has i keyboard bug where it always reverts to the stock imput method [dealbreaket]

Thanks for the info, i'll stick with 1522 for now. At least until a better build comes out or once it's out of beta (or if i ever get skyfire haha). Speed is definitely not an issue for me.

Im not sure what the deal is with this and previous builds, but this one by far hogs sooooooooooooo much memory. It is crazy, i go from having 17 megs of program memory with no other programs running, to having to shut down opera, because there is insufficient memory.
This is a great app if you have the memory. I am going back to my older build of opera 9.5. They are both memory hogs, but at least I can use that one

the beta version has ripped out the flash (maybe to include the latest version in the final build) the versions 1522 and down have flash player 7, but the youtube videos are choppy due to the lack of the latest flash.

skyfire is the only browser right now that supports this right now

My quick observations from build 1780:

- sound & notifications bug is (still) fixed
- the default keyboard bug also seems fixed
- also, the text reformatting is finally turned off in overview mode
- scrolling is different than in the beta, a tad slower..

Thanks for the response...I'll give it a try. I like the features of Opera but love the flash ability of Skyfire. Maybe this release is on its way to PPC browser perfection.

I went to opera's website and it now says 9.51... I dunno if this is better or not. But I'm gonna try it tomorrow at work =P and I'll post back. I'm also going to try 1522 (which according to one post in this thread is supposed to be the last version that supports flash) and build 1938 included in this thread.

its slower but has way more features . but there were cases on flash not working on certain rom builds

thats a tough one... cuz opera has all the features that skyfire lacks like upload download, smoother pan and zoom, multitabbing, password saving etc. but skyfire has flash...

oh wait... OPERA HAS FLASH!!! LMAO

if you can live with the fact that opera is slower in loading pages then its a clear cut winner

but see if flash works with your rom version to see if it works for you cuz they say over at xda that you need a rom 2000 build or over for it to work

what error are you getting??? try a soft reset and try again

then your rom version might not support the latest flash lite, is it later than 2000 build??

there was also a case at xda that a fellow vogue user hard reset his device and it worked for him, and i myself had to flash to sprints official rom from an older attell based rom i was using for it to work in mine

i got flash lite installed with opera but tcpmp says rtsp protocol not supported. what do you use to watch the flash? or am i doing something wrong? :triste: feel like a noob again...
