I extracted the rar file and try to run the set up and all it did was open

yup glad that you got it you just extracted to far and decompressed the cab file.

yeah it will end in .cab or i also use wince cab manager and that will also give you a different icon for cab files

So, I installed this program, and opened it up. I didn't see a folder that says contacts. How can I back up my contacts? This is the ONLY reason I wanted this program.

This is posted in the worng area 1. you dont private message questions 2. you post questions in the support area 3. the file would b marked as .cab have a filing cabinet logo infront of it

does this backup contacts as well..?? it doesn't list it anywhere in the instructions for anything that i can seem to find... i've downloaded it and i'm messing with it and can't seem to find a "contacts" folder like PIM Backup, but for some reason anytime i try to use PIM i get an error that says not able to create file so hopefully this program works so i can hard reset with no worries..

yeah but i havent used it to see how it is exactly done.... you can also use mail2web push email client that has outlook built in... thats how i back up all my contacts.

I used to use swcked backup on my touch and now i tried sprite on my htc touch pro ...

i think swcked backup is allot quicker then sprite.... sprite also requires two resets.. before and after ... and the whole backup process just seems allot longer...

does anyone else agree that swcked backup is better then sprite backup ... or am i missing something

swcked and sprite seem to be the best ones out there....... i dont use them since they never restore correct and always have little errors..... only take me an hour to get all of what i want back on the phone from a reflash so its all good..... (and flash too many roms to even use a backup tool) and if you like the speed of swcked go with it bro..... you can aslo try resco backup if your feeling froggy since resco makes some of the top of the line products for ppc.

i had a hard time removing this application and had to remove manually .. also on the sprite site they give u an exe file to remove application ... but now i cant get the program removed from the remove program list even though it is no longer installed on device... i try and it says uninstall was incomplete .. do u still want to remove from list.. i hit yes but it is still there... anyone know where in the registry i would find the list of apps in the remove program screen so i can remove that manually as well.. thanks

you can try to use memmaid, sktools, or pocket mechanic professional to get rid of the files.

i tried sktools.. clean option ... deleted all it found but that dam program is still there in remove apps window... grrr

than i dont know what to tell you.... might just want to do a hard reset.... i can do a flash and a whole mod in uinder 1 hour including contacts and everything.

i thought all those would have a record under a registry in which i would just have to delete an entry ... nothing is ever easy ... haha
