Just wondering!! I have read through this whole posting and I am looking for info on using this for an Alltel Diamond. This sounds like exactly what I need, but I want to make sure it will work with Alltel. I don't have the original Alltel ROM on file (or even know if it is available) so I don't want to try it if I can't switch back to factory ROM. The only info I could find was the "EVDO RevA PhoneCanvas *requires Alltel radio*"

I would do this....there is a Dump ROM (stock) for the Alltel Diamond. I beleive we have it here on Wckediden. If not xda has it.. DL that one as well as the relocker. Remember, DUMPED ROMS DO NOT require you phone to be relocked. RELOCK ONLY if you plan on bringing it back to the store. I learned the hardway. In any case. Make sure you unlock your phone before flashing. I think this works on Alltel's Diamond as I beleive this ROM is based off of it,

I scoped out XDA's site and they had Alltel listed on this ROM. The only thing I had to do is download Arcsoft MMS and setup the Alltel server info. The MMS isn't the same but it works! Also I put the O2 Blue TF3D theme on and ever since the TF3D is lagging a little. Even if I put the original black back on. I soft reset but I think I need to hard reset back to the black. Oh yeah. Is the page pool on 3.6 at 16Mb. I see the ROM comes with a page pool changer. Overall after putting 3.6 on the device is slower.

it would work but you wouldnt have any of the alltel apps....

I guess im about to give this badboy a try. but before i do, is there a diamond rom that keeps most/all of the sprint looks and apps but just rigged to increases battery life?

if no then this one might be the way to go. i would just have to find the cabs for sprint nav and tv..im not keeping that stock any longer than i have to.

yeah look around we have some of them here....... you just have to go with one that fits you..... you can always install the sprint stuff like nav ,tv, etc...... we have all the cabs here :>

this is the whole rom....... so you would have to reflash..... trust me bro juicy makes new roms all the time so you will be flashing a lot if you want to keep up with him :>

its really a personal preference, i think i have tried that rom you are talking about, it is ok, i went back to the dumped alltel rom, and now waiting on KAOS rom to drop, which is what i would suggest to anyone

this rom is sweet the only issue that i'm having is that internet issue when i go to opera i always have to it the click ok with the internet configs and it'll go through it wont stay on default and connect right away.Maybe a fix on next version..

I never had that issue and the battery life seems much better than older versions.

no this is ofr the diamond only..... you cant use different roms on different phones than what is said in the thread... i would go with the kaos hybrid rom for the pro if i were you :>

that rom is for the old touch im referring to teh touch pro, aka the raphael, basically the diamond with the slide out keyboard

Dude, we know what the touch pro is, and like D/\sh said, you CANNOT flash a ROM that was made for one device on another device. If you wanna flash a touch pro, then start reading and download a Touch Pro ROM

And just because the phone looks like a diamond with a keyboard doesnt mean there the same, the pro has plenty of deiffernces from the diamond, everything from internal memory differences, sd card support, to registry deiiferences.

Also, this rom IS for the Touch Diamond, like D/\sh said, NOT the old touch.

this is a great rom for the diamond and i will be updating in 5 minutes or so... stay tuned...

In ROM releases, youcan always check the first post with the changelog. It will tell you all the differences and upgrades between the versions.

No there arent any apps removed except the sprint ones

i just wanna say outstanding job and thank you to all the people that created this rom. to be honest this is the first rom that i put on my htc diamond and havent had any problems with. most of the other roms i installed i always found things i didnt like about it and reverted back to the stock rom. (dont get me wrong, i havent tried every single rom on this website so im sure there are others that are great as well) but once again i just wanna say thanks and great job guys. i know some people are sitting there right now wondering which rom to install, and wondering if its really worth starting from scratch and installing all those programs and games again. guys trust me you will be very happy with this rom!!! its definately worth it
