one question...do we need both of the windowsmobile files...or just the one that says windowsmobileWAD? i already have wisbar advanced desktop and advance 3..just need to know if i should download both of the .rar files or just need the one with the landscape and portrait files which is the WAD.... sorry its soo long...thanks in advance!

is there a way that I can get to the Themes/Desktop folder without going through activesync? My activesync hasnt been working so Im trying to find another way to do this

If your activsync is acting up, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it on your computer. That fixed it for me when mine was acting up:)

Wait, your profile says you have an omnia....I dont think this will work with WQVGA displays. Its designed for regular QVGA

Yea but I saw someone on Modaco got it to work for them so I think I can get it to work if I can just get it into the correct folder and it isnt really isnt activesync but more my phone. The USB port is damaged so I cant connect to my computer

I dont have active sync, I use mac so I have to use missyng sync, and I cant see the themes folder, is there other way to do this?

you can do it right off of your phone....... there is a themes folder that will appear if you download and install the right apps like the first post says in the edit that was made about a month ago.

I just downloaded wad 1 to my mogul and It says Its not a valid aplicacion for pocket pc

theres an edit button for a reason. you need to install it to the main memory and not the card like already stated in this thread. and yes you need wad and if its a exe file with the program icon to click on you have to run from the computer and not the phone.

no this will not work on the diamond and use the built in search feature... you will find it in green on the site taskbar or at the top of the screen to the right of the banner on every page....

It seems like I overlooked something. I just got through with the thread. I downloaded the files from the links provided. When using windows mobile device, the folders in my phone doesnt show a theme folder. I placed the vista files in my documents folder next to an already loaded theme and it comes up like a regular vista theme. I also saw somewhere where it said that if you have a regular rom or something I might need to download Kaos or somethin like that.I mean I know I am super new to this and I know it shouldnt be that hard but still I feel like I have overlooked something. Been up all night on white castles and juice (lol). Can someone point me to the light? (And sorry about the pm)

you need to add to the themes folder and than choose from the wad options under themes jsut like the video and everythign else... if its not showing than you are using the wrong verison of wad or wa

no this will not work on vga devices but you can find ones that will at the lakeridge forums.....

what do you mean install itself? and yes they will take a while there is quite a few image files there

Hey.. Anyone got this working on HTC Diamond ? IV tried it out but the login screen hangs, main screen is split into 4 equal wallpapers and theres no buttoms on the taskbar :)

this is for qvga and not vga screen resolutions so it will not work .

cheers mate i thought id try it anyway.. All im after is a taskbar that looks like vista.. im happy with an iphone theme i got but the top bar looks shit.. is thereany theme u know that i can add that will give me the vista looking taskbar ?

yeah you can still use wisbar... just go to the lakeridge forums and you will find vga formatted ones that will work with all vga screen resolutions.

than you installed the wrong version of WAD...... you didnt use WAD2 did you? once you install the correct version the folder will apeear.... i would re-read the first post since it tells you the version that you need.

Ok, so I didn't follow the directions properly and made my own themes/Desktop folder before installing the wisbar software...

when i finished installing wisbar it doesn't find the themes is this error reversable?

Yeah just delete whatever file you made in your phone , and just start fresh uninstall and reinstall follow the step's like in the video and you shall have the theme. This theme is great once you have it on your phone....

Then just do like the video say's theme folder should be there. explorer , mobile based device , desktop copy the files into the folders

ok did you install desktop like the first post said also? you need wisbar advance 3 and wisbar advance desktop to make this work and WAD gives you that folder. and you cant be using WAD2 because the image names are different in that version over the original

ok with windows vista go to sync center. sync ur ppc to the computer and follow the same steps i have posted above in my tutorial. it's the same process.

the logon screen is already there, just tap and hold on the wallpaper and choose "next page" until you get to the screen. From there you can tap and hold the background again and choose to set it as the first page so that it pops up whenever you wake up your device.

just tap and hold until the options come up and choose to add a shortcut and then you can add anything you want, you just gotta mess with it until you get the hang of it.

i know how to do that but the icons are not the same as the one's you get on the desktop for example when i done that then i pull up the start menu the icons go over the start menu instead of the other way around.. only the i cons that came with it is the one's that dont cover the start menu when i pull it up. i been all around this thing an so far i still haven't find a way to get the icons from going over the start menu when i pull it up. an the icons area bit bigger then the normal one.s on there an when i switch the icons to make them small it's to small haha. but i just wanted to know if there is anything i can do to fix those porblems i cant even make the icons the same way as they are with other icons.

ok look on wad pull up the start menu and tap and hold and u can put new icons for ur app's also on the bottom right same thing tap and hold and put ur icon. before u start asking questions over and over like u have please play around with it and see wwhat u can and can't do. u have a lot of stuff u can do like on ur home desktop. also when u make a post and ask a question wait for a answer before u post agin. double posting is hard to answer if asking to many question. also on Wckediden and xda we and them have a lot of icon for wad that u could use as well
