What device were you testing with by chance? Do you have any idea if the touch pro will have 4g capability or is it hardware limited and are we all going to be upgrading to another phone when this comes to our area in the next 10 years?

i live in baltimore and this is nice but one question its the 4g only for the wiresless thing that plugs into computers or will it be for cellphones as well?

I find it odd that they are putting the 4G in areas that already have super faster internet service providers offered in their areas. Like verizon fios is offered in baltimore. I guess that means that we will see just as much effort go into the 4G as we did see go into fios. It was said fios would be all over the united states 6 years ago and it still hasn't spread past major cities really.

Like dash said, the pro can use 4G, so it will work fine on cell phones:)

Ummm,... you think its going to take 10 years or even 6 years before you get WIMAX in your area? i think its more like 2-3 years.... its already in 4 states i believe and is growing rapidly since there are now at this point so many investors.

Honostly yes... i moved to the greater Nashville area and i really don't see it within the next 5 years really. Verizon made all the same promises and never delivered. I just can't see it holding water with the talk of economy being held over everyones heads.

Don't get me wrong!! Id love to see it, but i just don't think it'll be within the next couple years is all.

4G right now is only in baltimore area and only the adapters are capable as of now according to a confidential report im reading

they were trying in an area of the city and they have to wait though becasue of all the other shit going on through downtown sicne we re getting a total makeover and towers may have to be moved....
