------------If you wanna play landscape, configuring buttons is a lil tricky, i recommend using dpad for dpad, and onscreen buttons instead of KB cuz the KB doesn't seem to register... but the emulator is Smooth, thats why i chose it.

Just install the ones that you like and youll use. It makes our phone personal. You dont wanna just pack everything you possibly can on their. Then itll be as bad as a stock rom...all bloated up. Haha:) :superman:

no im not even close to using them all.... just use what you want on our device for oyur needs, and yes the more you install the more the phone gets bogged down after about 7 or so apps.

I think he was asking about how many you can install and you answered him with how many you can have running. If that is what he meant, you can install prolly about 40 before you hit some major problems.

No you dont want anywhere near 40 apps loaded on your phone. I know I dont. Every app you install changes the phones regisrty. Everytime you uninstall it changes the regisrty again. Any regisrty with that many chunks put in and taken out of it will make the phone slower. Its good to install a bunch to get used to it and see what you like, then backup your contacts and such, then do a hard reset to start fresh and clean, then re-install only the apps that you liked and will use. this is the formula I use and it is tried and true.

To me it looked like he was asking how many apps you can have without completly messing up your phone, and actually 40 was low. I've got a good 51 program icons (idk how many actual programs) and my phone still works fine, using about 65% of CPU. That's without the 7 in my start menu, but sk tools gives you like 5 icons. So idk but I would do what you said and install ones you think you might like then do a hard reset only only keep what you need, that's what I did.

Nobodys tryin to make ya feel dumb bro. I just been doin this PPC app thing for a while, Dash even longer. So we've figured out alot of the do's and don'ts of modin your phone. Ya gotta look at it like it a PC. If you load it up, its gonna be slow and sluggish. And you always gotta account for the registry. Havin all them apps being installed and uninstalled causes havoc in there. Especially if you run a mogul, which has alot less memory and power then the Pros that me and Dash are runnin. Its best to just have the apps you need on your phone, and forget about the rest. And yes, most custom roms do come with some of the best apps cooked directly in, so you dont have to worry about em.

I didn't mean that you guys make me feel stupid in a bad way I just meant that you guys are amazing at what you do. But I just did a hard reset and my phone already had 20 programs on it without me doin anything. I think it's time i go custom ROM lol.

Lol yea you can use it....as long as its preceded by "A great Fu#$ing man once said..." Hahaha. And dont worry about messing your phone up with a custom rom, just make sure you read the tutorials and your good. And if your still nervous, Dash has a mod service where you send your phone to him, he hooks it up like crazy, then sends it back to you fully insured. Your phone will never be the same.....

Yes I HATE that program. I download it from here and it gives me that error message so i donload it from another site. Works great till I wanna use my real slide out keyboard. I put in a "!" and it makes it into a 1. and then every time I type in a number it opens up the keyboard.

Well it isn't called the HD keyboard (my bad just realized that) but it works like exactly the same its got full qwerty, compact qwerty, and phone keypad. heres a link to the site to DL it from and its got instructions. If you need any help installing it shoot me a PM.

Your gonna have to be more specific about what isn't working. Here's the steps of what you should do.
1. download the .zip file that Dash has provided in the first post
2. save that to your computer somewhere you can find it
3. You can unzip the files on your computer and find the ones you want
4. copy and paste those files to your phone through active sync
5. click on the .cab file you want to install using your phone
6. select if you want it installed on your device or storage card.
7. after its finished installing, do a soft reset.

Ok, I'm really sorry to bump this but 15 apps! I'm not getting this! I flashed a new ROM (SCrosler's R4Reloaded) and It came stock with 30 programs. How the hell did you get that down to 15? I can't even delete any of them. What ROM's are you guys running? I'll prolly end up flashin one of Kaos's now. I've got about 19.5% free program memory. I can't check the CPU usage because this ROM doesn't have task manager in the upper right corner for some reason.

all i do is go with the big jew stripped version rom and that comes with no apps and add from there... and above we werent talking about the stock programs jsut the other ones..... still awfully high number though even with the stockers.

than install the newest compact framework..... i use 3.5 without any troubles.

Great freakin post D/\SH and very informative thread.... you should really consider stickyin this up for easier access... Ass you know, i just got my pro, not to long ago, so this saved me so much time instead of looking for vga versio of all my former and useful apps, thay are all here... but still it was a b*tch to find this... I have a question i have touch pro, but i hate how the mms doesnt work so far the cabs i found dont work, winpm.cab says picture mail not supported RAPH800 ...picture mail credentils could not be read... can anyone help or know a much sinpler way to send or receive pic mail straight from the phone or main text system?
