i was able to add skyfire to the internet widget, but i try to add opera mini and it doesnt work. the path is \windows\start menu\programs\opera mini.lnk, but when i try to open it, it instead opens opera mobile and puts that in the url. anyone know how i can successfully add opera mini?

when i instal the m2s test cab it says installation was unsuccesfull. The program or setting canot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions. So if any one know how to fix that wut would great. oh yea this cab was from the update 20 zip

hi..i'm having problem installing Manila2D cab to my HTC Touch VIVA. I've downloaded Update 20, 19 and 17 (still downloading) but both Update 20 & 19 fail to install. Error as below:

Installing XDA-Team NEW M2D (m2d test 0.12.5.1.cab)
"installation was unsuccesfull. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."

Please help. I've already install M2D Customizer

htc viva? doesnt that already have manila2d built in?? if not then you must disable biotouch (the cube) for it to install there is a thread on disabling the cube in the tutorial section

it has? i surely don't know much about it....what i know is that i'm trying to add the themes but it won't start, keep on tapping the screen but it won't launch the themes, so i figured maybe my htc viva don't have the manila 2d...that's why i'm trying to install it but cannot.

Since ur saying HTC viva already have, then what should i do next to enable me to use the themes. Should i disable the cube? Sorry i'm really new on my htc viva...please help

you need M2D config to change your themes....and i agree with Mike almost positive viva had 2d built it.......and make sure you use tf2d themes and not tf3d themes.....

ok let me get this right, my HTC VIVA have a 2D built-in but i would still need to install M2D config (Update 20) in order to use any of the TF2D themes available here rite. If it is, should i turn off/disable the touchFlo setting (Today > Items tab > TouchFlo) before installing M2D config and the themes? I'm having problem as i said in previous thread about unable to install the M2D config Update 20 with some permission error and i'm lost in finding the fix.

No you would not need to disable touchflo on your phone , just need the M2D config too make the themes work. I had problems with update 20 also went to a early update and everything worked great for me....

Can you tell me which update that u use so far i've tried until update 17...still fail with same error.

Um i used 19 and everything seem to work fine there

yep...still have the same error system does not have sufficient system permission. what could have cause this permission error.

well if you installed touchflow 2d there should be a folder in windows called MaliniaGFX just whatever theme you download copy all the files in that folder and overwrite them softreset and the theme will be there.

i've check the windows file, there's no such folder with that name, i've also notice got manila2d & Manila2DUtil...is it because i've install Manila2D customizer?

well at last, i've manage to install the M2D Update19b...it's my mistake also i think....coz only try to install the M2D cab file. i should have install everything from the package in order to install M2D...thanks.

the same way.... it just has footprints added which you can see what they are on youtube.... many videos for it already.

look at the first sot it tells you what you will need and there will be a readme or nfo included in the zip.... i dont have a qvga device to test on besides the hermes but i just got that boxed up to be sold.

i know you can but you have to edit the ddl if im not mistaking to size for the treos resolution.

Hopefully the newest version will work for me, I've been trying to install another on my Mogul and it keeps throwing my phone into safe mode loop boot(where even safe mode wont boot)... IDK what I've been doing wrong or if one of the cab's is corrupted or what..

I just got the epix and I know that this wont work on it due to the screen dimensions (320 x 320). I saw on another website that they were making it work though. My question is, if I install these update 22 files on my epix, and I want it to fit, do I just have to edit the HTCHomeSettings.xml file for the dimensions on my phone? Or is it more complicated than that? Thanks.

yes im pretty sure i remmeber mike saying somewhere in this thread that ll you would have to do is edit that file.... not sure myself so i would wait for him or someone else to give you a definitive answer.

Good lookin out Mike. So all I have to do is replace that XML file from update 22 with the one from that link and im straight? If thats the case I can probably figure out the whole footprints thing and add it in.

ok i downloaded touchflo2d update 22 but now i'm not sure what i need to do next. i've been seaching for a guide how i can install this into my htc touch but can't find anything looks like it seems common sense or something...i'm a noob anyone want to help me out

this is actually not the newest version of touchflo2d, if you give me a minute i will update the first post with the newest build then bump the thread so you see it.

For it to work you only need the cabs from the list "manila base", but for the best functionality grab the ones from "manila +" and don't bother with the ones under "manila ++"
