well i became a Wckediden thanks to my cousin im not sure if he still be on here but i had another device that wasn't htc and it was boring so i upgraded to the touch he told me about this site and another and the other one seem a lil more complicated so i kick it here at Wckediden cause everything either easy to install or the members and staff are very helpful.

Hey guys, its been interesting seeing what everyone does for a living and I thought I would share my tale...well, I got into the ppc world last year as a student. My family was reaching the end of our contract with sprint and I really wanted the voyager from verizon but my mom gets a discount for sprint through her company and I saw the mogul...I thought it was ugly but it was a touchscreen phone and could get on the internet so I thought it was gonna be about the same as the voyager. I was happily suprised when I was looking for themes for my phone and I came across Wckediden and that was when I finally realized what an amazing phone I had and became a junkie. As for what I do, I am no longer in school but I work weekends at Anheuser-Busch loading beer onto trucks and I am trying to become a police officer. I have put in a few applications but haven't heard anything yet...I know quite a few of our members are in that field and I was wondering if you guys knew any tips/tricks to get my foot in the door. Wckediden REPRESENT!!!!

I am an architectural drafter/project manager (currently unemployed thanks to the economy). I do construction documents for retail stores and an restaurants. Mostly tenant fit up. I wanted a smartphone and picked up the touch about a year ago. As soon as it showed up in the mail I started looking to mod it. That's when I cam across D/\sh's videos on youtube and hear I am.

Well i will tell u how it all happent.
I wanted to experiment on navigator software on pocket pc.
So i bought an older ipaq to test on.
Suddenly i needed a little help........then i called to weesje.
Now u want to know how....?....wel weesje was there and i asked him.

I am currently a Small Business Advisor / Communications Consultant for Sprint/Nextel; however I am in school ( Graduating this May ) for Video Game Programming, basically I code using c++ and c# all day when im not at Sprint. I've been working on a few side projects and stuff.

I originally got into Wckediden when I was searching for unlocking a Nextel phone and it somehow brought me here haha. Dash and I hit it off real well and I became one of the first admins and i was on the boards all the time, I would be on until 3 -4 am and i might have woke up in the middle of sleeping to answer a few posts here and there, then when i would finally wake up I would get on to post a bunch of new apps and help people. Those were the days... :P

:glasses1:I am an naval aircrew rescue swimmer in a SH60B helo. I currently instruct students out of boot camp the aircrew/ rescue swimmer ways. i have owned a ppc since the ppc6600 heavy brick. Love the sight I greatful for all that everyone does, and hopefully soon, when i get back from my voluntold duties to Iraq I can contribute.

i do a little bit of everything, im what we like to call a songsmith (which means i write songs lol), i own a sheetmetal company, a dump truck and a couple rigs my uncles keep busy with their construction company. I live on the border to mexico and i own a club called jarros disco out there where i am no longer allowed by the spouse :P aside from all this, i am a licensed vocational nurse which is my main job at three different companies here in texas' rio grande valley, yes that means i have three full time jobs! I got here looking for some apps for my old mogul which i never flashed just modded out with apps, guess you wouldnt call it modded lol but i was having some trouble configuring ultimate launch and a found a video on you tube that led me here and ive been in love ever since. thanks guys, you make my phone a brand new and more exciting phone every week!

Hehe.....I WAS driving a truck(locally)....but due to the flakey economy, unfortunately I got laid off:-{ Luckily, me and the Mrs. had a good chunk in savings. Thank god for unemployment and her bein a manager @ ARBY'S. So right now, I'm going back to school and am getting a degree in computer science. Got into modding my phone from, well here, bought a mogul off of ebay and wanted a more unique user interface....searched the web and stubbled across MR.DASH's and Superman369 youtube vids and BAM!!!!! Here I am....learning alot, but still anxious to learn more and more...............BTW, dash is right a stay at home parent IS considered fulltime employment. definitely hit me up i jus changed my whole diet and lifestyle i had high blood pressure on feb 19 th and i weighed in at 226 im 5 10 today im 195 and in very good shape and condition due to the changes i made so i will be more then happy to help any1 with diets planning exercise or jus better ways to eat i love cooking and helping people and none of the food i make is like diet food i stiil eat good stuff so crazaytalent juz hit me on da pm and we will link up and get you right and Big Jew any time baby you wanna link up i will be more then happy to exchange sum stuff boss

Deff. not a career, but I work at a mom and pop type computer store that my Father in Law owns and started 18 years ago.

We don't advertise, but do around 1,000,000 in sales and repairs each year on word of mouth.

I work on computers when needed, but I mostly do the inventory control. We are finally getting a POS system and will start actually scanning barcodes and keeping an inventory which will tell us when we are low etc.

It is fun, and I have learned a ton about computers and how to fix certain issues, but I am looking for a salary that I can raise a family on.

I have also been a COP, Tile Setter, Concrete overlay person and I was a nationally certified massage therapist.

If you can't tell, I have ADHD ;)

Bottom line Im a welder. I have my own business doing metal fabrication which is full time now due to layoff at the beginning of the year. Ive had the business going on the side for 4 yrs now, so its steady. Not getting rich but I do enjoy it and that to me means a lot. Ive spent the last 4 yrs in the bio-pharm industry, believe it or not the paper work would make your head spin. Everything had to be traceable, kept to a tight tolerance and then checked, checked and checked again. This included snaking a camera inside tubing to check every single weld made.
Most of what I do now seems to be sports cars. Pretty much build aftermarket performance parts and safety equipment (roll cages).


As for the ppc I never really had a "need" for one after all Im just a welder ;). It all started with texting for me which at the time was not in my plan. Being new to the whole media data blue tooth wifi etc.. I decided on the instink and the simply everything plan. After about nine mouths of that turd I started researching and I landed here due to dash, big jew and superman 369. I seen the infamous you tube videos and realized it was over my head and had to have a touch pro. I feel I am here to stay, I am on a few forums and this one by far is the best. Great work guys keep it up!!!

I guess it's only right I speak for myself since I commented on this thread already. I am currently a store manager for Sprint. I turned into a junkie a while back when I had the i930, my 1st winmo device. After that went to the HTC Shaddow and that's when I got into the Forums and been hooked every since. I found this site through some others I was on, along with youtube. So I came and checked it out, and I am officially Wckediden 4 Life!!! :yahoo:

I was a Draphic Designer at RP55 clothing co but now i currently work at the infamous BANK OF AMERICA, DUN DUN DUHHHH!!!........, LOL!!! as a Financial Analyst (trying to swtch to IT field soon).it all started when me and my boy was worken at the ford plant, he was at sprint i was nextell, we would see who had better features then my one boy got a treo 6700 and blew us both out by mistake so i took my i 930 and tradded it for a TMOBLE MDA,tinkered with it for a year or so then switched to a Mogule and found Dash by mistake on youtube then it was history now that i have my touch pro im on daily kicken wit the Wckediden FAM!!

I work Well I run a custom sportbike shop in North Carliona Called Jeepers Racing. We Build custom sportbikes big tire kits starting at 240's up to 360's, custom chroming parts. Im a “Creative Problem Solver.” Or Social Engineering Specialist, which puts food on the table. I also have the joy (sarcasm) of being a midlevel admin at work, kinda like a hands on help desk and trainer for computers as well.
I was in the 6th grade when Texas Instruments produced the first computer for schools. Then it was on to the Apple IIE, IIGS, programming in Pascal…..yea Im old. Then fast forward to Nextel. I had most of the “Newerâà ¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚ phones the i85, i95, i860, i930. I used R$$ and other Motorola programs to download the settings on my phone and play with the downloads. I also used cool edit pro to make ringtones. Most of you know cool edit as Adobe Audition.

Way back in the day, 2002, I bought a referbed iPaq, which I still have BTW. And as I looked at my phone, I wished I could cram the phone and iPaq together, then Id have the perfect phone. I learned a long time ago I needed to write $h*t down and I used the iPaq to keep my schedule in.

After two days with my i930, I grew tired of the screen and wanted to customize it. I taught myself xml because I did not like the stock homescreens and themes. I wanted to customize the homescreen and make themes I liked. After MANY long hours and MANY failures I finally learned enough to get things to the way I wanted. One day I posted one of my themes on nextelmodz. I met mof, former owner of smartmodz, later I was a mod and smod on smartmodz, where I continued to modify and tweak my phone. Eventually I switched to Sprint and got a motoq. Again, I grew tired of the stock themes in a week, and off to modifying again. Oh and during this time Ive been making ringtones too.

I got a Mogul shortly after its release and started customizing. Ive forgotten how many wallpapers Ive made for the Mogul. More long hours of moding and tweaking.

So, to feed my addiction for new technology, which is more like a neurotic trait, I got a TP when it was first released, and have been flashing and tweaking like a madman.

I came to this site actually in hopes of helping the site out, I have a lot of blackberry knowledge that I felt could be used to "beef up" the blackberry sections of this forum. After all, it is "Wckediden", not "windowsmobilejunkie" and the more users the better, wether they be RIM or PPC users.

I was actually invited first by ON3/\L but wasn't really interested at the time, and later met Phe-Nom in person and was told I should jump on... sooooo eventually I did. And it's definately a great site.

Been tryin to help out. figure maybe if I can get enough blackberry stuff going maybe it will attract a wider range or users to the forum. I just feel ignorant when it comes to the WM. You guys know sooooo damn much, and I'm pretty much useless.


When I stop being lazy, I'm gonna do my own sig. If it's ok with D/\SH and puertoblack I am gonna advertise for my resume writing business. I know my posts don't always reflect it, but I actually write very well and can do a kickass resume.
