yeah the difference in abttery life is night and day so i would recommend doing it for sure since with the stock rom the phone is pretty much unusable since the battery dies sooooo fast.... :laser:

DASH i need ur help!!! ok this was working fine...had no complaints but ever since i installed the wmwifirouter the internet sharing wont work if i wanna use it connected directly to my laptop...i get a little exclamation mark in a yellow triangle that says limited or no connectivity.... :( any idea why???

Someone said "start the internet sharing app in your programs" to get this to connect.. Stupid question but, Where is Internet sharing on Vista??

I've been using PDAnet ever since i had my old MotoQ and now on my Touch Pro. But its kind of annoying, I always get a Modem Busy error and have to turn my phone off and back on.. So I was thinking about installing this. But I see theres alot of reg changes, So just wondering.... Will PDAnet still work if I install this?

(i better find a back up program before i trash my phone)

yes they will stick work and internet sharing is on your phone and not on youe pc.

Thanks Dash! I bought my dad a Treo800w for xmas in order to upgrade his phone, to a phone as modem able phone. If its fast enough for him I'll be able to cancel his aircard! Mad props brotha , good work. wmwifirouter next!

Installed the cab. on my Mogul and on my dad's Treo 800w. Internet sharing works just fine on the Mogul (nicely done, using it now infact). But when I tested it on the treo it didn't work. When I press connect in Internet Sharing it tries to;
Connect to: Power Vision
Using: Cellular Line
Dial: #777
finally after trying and trying I get a messege "Cannot Connect" "the remote party has ended this connection.
then is gives me a link to the phone connection setting.
Any ideas on what I should do in settings if any?

First i would like to say that DASH you are one of the best i have seen. now my problem is this, i have been trying to get my mogul to work as a modem for a while and i see that you have this new tweak and i hope that it is the answer to my problem. when i go to the internet sharing part all i see is the pc connection part not the part where u are supposed to click sprint will this new tweak help this problem

I dont really get your problem but once you go into internet sharing just tap spint under network connection make sure your phones connected to the computer to then tap connect

This tweak actually removes the option of Phone as modem or Sprint PCS. It makes Sprint PCS the default. All you have to do is select to connect via usb or bluetooth and your good to go:)

Sup family! i tried to do what was asked in order to get the service to work but when i got to the internet sharing section my network connection portion was gone. i don't know if it is because of my upgrade to the new rev. but my wife hasn't upgraded yet and she still has the network connection portion on her phone. is there something that i have to enable to get that feature back

in that same section you should be able to create a new connection...just set it up like the first post says. should be golden....:)

Yeah those are the ones, its just this internet sharing fix worked so well when I was using it on the mogul, no problems jsut a smooth steady connection.

Ive been reading on some other posts about the wmwifi routers key's havent been working for everyone I used the Pdanet for awhile, but it kept droping the connection after awhile and I ended up losing all my contacts once because of.

Oh, never thought of that. I thought that was just for .rar files and winzip was just for .zip files. I did extract the file from the Download with winrar successfully as you suggested. But I thought this was a CAB we install.

Sounds like your download got corrupted. You should try to download it again.

I did try it twice. But just for the hell of it, and because wmwifi eats my battery and pdanet doesnt work all that well, i just tried to DOwnload it again for the 3rd time. But still the same problem. I've never had this happen from a file off Wckediden

dont know to tell the truth.... it seems since the regisdtry would be changed that she would be ok.... you are the first that has mentioned transferring them over on the site to boost since many of us cant handle the slow boost mobile net speeds since they arent rev a speeds and the dropped calls with bosst are horrible so masny dont use especially in my area where nextel is dead... sorry cant be of more help but in my honest opinion i feel that you should be fine.

BOOST CDMA IS THE EXACT same thing as sprint this is not boost iden you should check it out even though you probaly getting the homie hook up for someone that cant pay the high bills but want the crystal clear service can get boost CDMA and use any sprint phone they want now it is a task if you are trying to keep your number as sprint will not let you PORT DIRECT as there trading a 99 plus tax customer for a 50 plus tax customer so the way i get around is i port to AT&T and then wait 5-7 days and port right back in and BADA BING BADA BANG it's done now there is a 50% chance you can loose your number or at least thats what they say so if anyone trys your on your OWN also there is a more safe way but it is a headache as you would go to iden first for 30 days then after the 30days is up DO NOT PAY AGAIN call the CS up and ask to be put on THE DOLLAR A DAY CHAT PLAN then go to 7-11 and put a $10 refill card(you will loose this balance when your port goes threw) then call BOOSR CDMA and tell the CS REP you want to do a MIGRATION and once again BADA BING BADA BANG YOU HAVE YOU NUMBER RISK FREE WORKS EVERYTIME

boost cdma is not going to give you the same speeds and i can promise that..... and not necessary since i dont want to have to go through shipping it back and paying the cash out for that also since money is gtting tight for me lately.... but thanks for the offer and it must be somewhere in writing ifiy ou asre correct so show some sources hahaha..... not being mean just know they wont have the same.

Well i did a sprint speed test and down loaded some videos and i got the same or nearly the same i am using my sprint branded tp and it fired right up even did the over the air activation updated the prl and user profiles and bing i have noticed any differnce except the picture mail is a task
