its prolly installing, you have to remember this is a large file that you are installing to your device and not a small one..... \if it is the load icon just be chill and relax for a little why it does its thing.... and in the zip folder that you downloaded there should be a readme or a .nfo file... read them and that will give you further installation instructions on theorder and process to take on getting this installed on your device.

I can't install the keygenerator because the file does not exist and I can't seem to get the picture on how to change the meta file. downloading the maps now. I can't seem to get the file you put up there to crack the maps the lazy way. file does not exist

OK, I'll wait, but the "TT-7..rar" file just had some .cabs, vga and qvga, no .nfo files.

OK, I tried to reinstall and its been spinning since 5:00 PM, it's now 6:13 PM and still no progress. It can't be talking that long!

DUDE! I feel your pain, I havnt been able to find that since I downloaded TomTom. I have the US & Canada, and it works well with my TP cause I have a 16g card on it, but my wifes diamond, it just takes up so much space so I was looking to use US_-_New_England_and_Mid_Atlantic_Region V.710.1583 which is much smaller. I downloaded it , but I cant activate the map. So Im stuck. anyone have that ACTVMap 4.8 you would be making alot of us happy... lol

for maps wise you can download all of the states if you have troom on the card or you could jsut do the states that you need on your way through those if you dont feel you need or would ever use the others...... if you have a large enough card liek a 8 gigger i would just go with all thestates so your covered at all times no matter where your at.... if your stuck in one of the other states without it and due to the size you cant download on the go you are going to be a little pissed off..... rather be safe than sorry thus why you always strap it up soldier.

i'm still lost and i did read the thread in full but now i have the TT7 downloaded and all 9 packs from filefactory i have a brand new 8g Micro and the next step is ? i tried to download the cracks and the keygem and the instructions to make the META file but no go still ?

i have TT version 7.910.9185 running with canada/US maps version 815.2022. the newer version that was mentioned before of 7.915.9196 has pretty much been abandoned by most people that use TT befcause it has server connection problems. i'm not going to read eveything that was posted. i don't have the time really. but i can probably help you get this going. i had a posting somewhere how to do it but that method doesn't work with the newer maps.

the part that i haven't mentioned is that my wife has been a trauma nurse for years. she said that in her career, she's seen only two people that had happen to them what mom did. one of those passed away and the other was in the hospital for weeks and finally healed 100% about a year later. the lady that passed away was mom's age. the lady that lived through it was only in her early 30s. so to be honest, we were prepared for the absolute worse situation.

i got the version i just downloaded from the link you provided and i found the version that was origanally in this thread ? wich one should we work with the from the link you gave me ? or the other TT_NAV_7.450.9028 VGA BLACK is the version i found in my back HD and the one you gave me is TT7_910.9185 singed htc diamond so you tell me and i'll follow your lead

the cab i gave you was only the program. the maps are a totally different issue. is that where the confusion is? you must find the maps and download them. they will come with their own crack programs.

the version i have is newer than any here but the ones here should still work fine. it's totally up to you which maps you use.

i'm going to bed. it's 11:30pm here and my wife is an RN and has an early shift in the morning.

like i said, you need to get the maps before we continue. i'll check in the morning as soon as she leaves to check on your progress with the maps.

1. Copy TomTom_Navigator_7.450.9028_repack1.cab (or whatever particular cracked tt7 name you have) onto your PDA and Install It.
2. Copy USA_and_Canada_720.1803 and voices to the root directory of your SD Card
3. Launch Tomtom and proceed through the setup instructions and select the USA_and_Canada map when prompted.

3A. Choose manual activation. Write down the manual activation code "XXXXX XXXXX" This is your device ID. Go to Step 4

3B. Shut down TomTom on the PDA and on your storage card, you'll find a file named "ttnavigator.bif". Copy this file to your PC and open it with Notepad, you'll see DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXX about the 5th line from the top. Go to Step 4

4. Copy USA_and_Canada-14.meta from your PDA's USA_and_Canada_720.1803 folder into the tt7-stuff folder on your PC
5. Open a command prompt (run->cmd) and navigate to tt7-stuff

6. In the command prompt type:
tt7_keygen.exe "path to *.meta file" "DEVICEID" (NO SPACES IN THE DEVICE ID!)
Example: tt7_keygen.exe "C:\tt7-stuff" "XXXXXXXXXX"
If successful it should say "OK" and create USA_and_Canada-14.meta.dct inside tt7-stuff folder on your PC.

7.Now copy USA_and_Canada-14.meta and USA_and_Canada-14.meta.dct from tt7-stuff on your PC into USA_and_Canada_720.1803 folder on your PDA overwriting existing files.

8. Run TomTom 7 and Select the USA and Canada map. You should be good to go.

now a few extra notes:

1) the info that you got from D/\SH doesn't have the tt7-stuff folder. the name of the folder is not important as long as all the info is there. i think the one you have is "insert_meta_file_here" or something like that.

2) you need to add the info D/\SH provided right under where it says "meta.txt" in the supplied meta.txt file.

these instructions will get you where you're going. let me know if you still have problems have trying it again with these instructions.

why won't they work? the info i provided has worked since the sprint touch? what's different?

that being said. i do realize that the the TP2 is a different resolution but i think there may be some versoin of TT7 that will work.

ok cool did the first part but the maps i got are 720_1802 not the 720_1803 but i'm gonna try it ?
