i installed this rom but my opera is only v 9.5 build 16702... am i doing something wrong? how can i get rid of the v 9.5 and go to 9.7?

also, i'm not seeing sprint tv... how do i get it back? i installed the v202-S. Thanks!

Im not sure cuz i havent tried it but if im not mistaken just install the new opera cab and it should overwrite it like i said tho i havent tryed it out myself... and as for sprint tv goto the start menu and scroll all the way down and it should be there along with the music store.

So here is the scoop. I am running version 0202 and I am very very impressed and happy with the ROM. THE ONLY issue I have experienced is opera crashing once i visit a site. Other than that, I am very happy. Now that the new version of skyfire has improved, its not that big of a deal.

If you install opera 9.7 it will overrite v9.5. it will also install a second shortcut on the startmenu, so you will have to delete the unused one via your file explorer.

same here, it was kinda buggy in v201, but now it's very responsive and haven't had a single problem yet, battery is a little better today, but it sucked right after flashing to the new rom.

you always want to wait for a full charge after flashing since flashing does take a big toll on your battery and sometimes donesnt register right away.

I always flash on a full charge thou, and after removing/putting the battery back I plug it in right away and let it fully charge again, it's not better than v0121 I must say.

I downloaded opera 9.7, but it's 9.7b1 -- that's the only version available on their website, and it didn't overwrite v9.5.... it just installed another opera instance and the logo is "O beta". any idea where I can find just 9.7, and not 9.7b1, or are they the same? is 9.7 the version with the little zoom icon on the left lower corner and then with the left-right zoom bar at the bottom?

Not sure, I only use about 4 to 5 programs that don't come in roms, so I just save the cab files in my sd card and install them everytime i flash to something new, it's quick and doesnt' bother me one bit, however there's people that use back up programs but don't know how to go about that. You should always save your files(music,videos,pics) on a sd card, that way when you flash to something new, you'll still have your files in your sd card. Whatever you decide, flash to the new version!!.

yes thats true but if you change roms and dont just hard reset you cant use the full back.... in each rom the registry is different and will get changed and restored back to old after a flash if you run a backup..... so basically you will flash and than run an old backup from a different rom named sucky rom...... so sucky rom isnt newly flashed on your deivce it is the one from before after the backup.... hope this makes sense and if not just ak and i will get it reworded.

guys quick question after flashing this custom rom am i supposed to also do a hard reset to get the best battery out of the custom cause of reading some of there other commets i see that to get your battery at its best after flashing a custom rom you should also do a hard reset to. is this true cause if so then i will do it to get the best battery out of this custom rom cause at the moment i cant really tell that much of a difference when it comes to my batttery life with the SSS rom v202 and if so i will just put the newer version on and do the hard reset? so yes or no to the hard rest for better battery

yes on the hard reset. ALWAYS hardreset after flashing ANY rom. eventhough you flash a new rom, there is a chance some progys hang and get stuck. so the hardreset clears out any "issues."

are you saying don't use a back up app if you flash a new rom? i don't really get your post but would like all the info i can possibly get out of you.....so what did you mean?

right after the flash, the phone will reset and start a boot cycle. thats when you pull out the battey and wait for about 30 seconds.

then after you put the battery back in and run the boot cycle the phone will run the customizations and restart. after restart run the hardreset.

v203 blows v121 away in speed and eyecandy. i was extremely pleased with v121 and i personally think v203 is head and shoulders above v121.

you can do backups of ike contacts and such but you cant backup a while rom than flash to a different verion or chefs work and than run a full resotr e o the device. and for the battery doesnt really matte ri take it out frirst right when the phone starts to boot and than i place it back in after a minute and than hard reset.

I don't know if im the only one experiencing problems with this rom, but so far it's been the worst of all SsS, it's slow, the battery sucks, opera crashes, youtube is buggy, my phone ramdonly freezes, Start in landscape is horrible, home key brings up the dialer, sometimes the end key does not work an other problems im forgetting to mention at the moment, im flashing my phone too many times perharps lol

do this, flash back to stock VIA CABLE/USB and wait like 20 minutes, THEN flash to this rom. that helps get rid of headaches that ONLY YOU can feel also, lol.

i meant to say that they dont sync lol error in my typing like when i get incoming text its always says a hour behind from the time i sent it like if i send it at 8 13pm and when they reply instead of coming back at 8 14 it will say a hour back such as 7 14 so i want to know if any one else was having that problem or should i just do another hard reset to clear this up

this rom is awesome it has amazing battery life i use it heavily im always on facebook and aim and twitter and it lasts for mmore then 8 hours i put it on the charger for maybe 5 or 10 mins like 3 times a day when im in my car goin to the girls house or comin home or somethin and it hasnt died on me yetdoesnt even get below 45 %

try re-flashing... make sure you take the batt out after flash and H.R.. I know your not a noob, but i must admit... this guys ROM can act weary from one device to another..

As of now, it just lags on me from time to time, but i just run CleanRAM, and Im back

Big Jew, I just flashed the telus radio v 1.04.05 and i noticed the rom ran faster than the sprint v1.11.00, but the battery life drained faster. My use about 10 hours of use instead of 12 or a little more.

those 2 files at the bottom of the instructions, r those already there on the rom or do we need to download it n install it seperately ??? i think its a stupid question coz if it was already there why would it be there to download..... but just wanted to make sure before i install it u know..... i have the stuffed one BTW...

you only need them if the Tachi dialer is not working correctly and if Sprint TV isnt working correctly, although, i think the 0203 has the fixes in them... use the cabs if needed.

what you mean you cant hard reset? are you doing it the correct way? and in some rom the ##code# doesnt work properly...... to hard reset try pulling the battery out, inserted back in, and hold dowm volume down, center key, and while holding those 2 dowm press and hold the power button.
