How To Step By Step Exchange Your Mogul For A Touch Free Of Cost To You

Are you sick of the HTC Mogul and all the problems including memory leaks, Bluetooth troubles, slow functioning of the phone all together, not receiving all your calls and than two days later receiving the voicemail, or just want to get the touch? This is how I did it and wanted to share it with you all here at Wckediden! You can do this over email by going to www.sprint.com than once you sign in go to contact us or you can do it over the phone by calling customer service and asking for a tier 2 representative. Follow these steps below and you will be getting a Sprint Vogue aka Touch sent to your door overnight!!!!


• Start off by telling them you are unhappy with the Mogul and all the problems including the Bluetooth problems , slow function of the device itself, the massive memory leaks that cause you to restart the phone multiple times throughout the day, and that you constantly miss calls throughout the day and receive the voicemail days later.

• Sprint is going to respond to this by saying something like “well your still under the 1 year manufacturer warranty and you can talk to HTC about that” or “ contact Asurion and they can send you another one for the $50 deductible.

• When sprint comes through by saying this drill it into their heads that its not the phone that is malfunctioning but it is the roms that Sprint themselves and HTC have released that are faulty and causing these problems. Continue on that though before they get as chance to interrupt and explain to them that the newest rom release was supposed to fix all of the above problems but that made the phone actually worse and was taken off the HTC and Sprint websites 6 days later.
• The Sprint rep will be a little quiet at this point over the phone which is a good sign since he/she now knows that you know your stuff about the phone and the problems which is a great sign. The rep will continue to try to make up excuses and at this point tell them the following.

• I BOUGHT A MOGUL FOR THE FEATURES INCLUDING BLUETOOTH WHICH I NEED FOR MY JOB AND IF YOU DON’T FIX THIS PROBLEM FOR ME I AM GOING TO GET THE AT&T TILT

• The Sprint rep is going to do anything to keep you as a customer especially if you have at least 6 months left on your contract, so you will have them right where you want them!!!

• Now propose a fix to them that consists of them shipping you the touch overnight for no extra cost along with a return package for your mogul so you can ship it back to them. They are bound at this point to say YES because they don’t want to lose you (well actually your money) as a customer.

• When you receive your Vogue/ Touch in the mail included In the box that the phone came in (separate box the phone comes in original box since its brand new but its packaged in a larger box to fit the envelope.) will be an envelope to drop your mogul and al the accessories into than call the Fed Ex number on the back of the instructions sheet and drop it on your porch and they pick it up for free!!!

• It’s that easy!!!! If you have further questions about this or are having problems just reply in this thread and be sure to hit that rep button since this did take me a good amount of time to type out.

lol elboriyorker it says AT LEAST 6 months left on your contract. because if you have 6 or more months left they have a lot of money that they are still going to be making off of you. and it just makes it easier you can still do it with less amount of time left just makes it a little bit harder

yessir just tell them the newest rom dont use the rom number since the new one has been released and all but not rev a and there is still some problems including missed calls and so on.

Like I mentioned earlier I'm trying to decide between the two phones. Have these issues been fixed yet? I have alltel if it matters but is the 6800 still plagued with all these problems? Is the touch the way to go? I'm just worried about the efficiency of keypad on the touch compared to the 6800. Is the touch capable of doing everything the 6800 can? I know this probably isn't the right place to post this but I'm getting one of these phones Wednesday and can not make up my mind and for $300-$350 I whant to make sure I make the right decision. Oh one more ?, does the touchflo cube program offered on here for the 6800 include the touch schrolling or is that another program? And if so where can I find that? Thanks for the time invested in helping me!

i love my mogul..I have no issues..have it over clocked as well...also on wm6.1...i love it wouldn't trade phone for nothing.the memory don't bother me..you can install on sd...I bought a 8gb one.

1.the issues have been fixed for the most part nothing big anymore.
2.the keyboard on the mogul is nicce thats why i still use the mogul not the touch
3.and yes the touchflo on the mogul does enable the scrolling like the contacts and all. called adobe flashlite

my best friend does tech support for sprint. No they are not required/suppose to send you a phone just because the phone is not working correctly.Thats why you have insurance :) and if your a whiny customer your value goes down as a customer. Until it gets to a point where if you threaten to cancel guess what they will let you because you already cost the company too much money.every adjustment every dropped call credit you get every discount or special offer you receive it counts. but you guys already know this as this is true for all providers just some bend a little more then others.not trying to be an a** just look at it from the other side.:yahoo::yahoo:

lmao...The customer is always right.Bottom line...I just had a brand new mogul sent out to replace my existing from retentions.So your basically saying its cool for them to sell you something that doesn't function properly as marketed.then when you have a issue tell you to go to insurance..F that. My phone was 40 days old. when my issue had arisen.To tell me to go to insurance is b.s. As i stated to retentions. Why would i want a 4 to 6 month old refurbished phone. when i just paid a shit load for a new one 40 days ago...Yes if you abuse it it will catch up to you.. I don't argue that point.But morals and ethics have to come into play sometime here.As my retentions cs understood. She authorized and sent replacement out with return box for old phone free of charge.Technically a manufacturers warranty is 1yr...Sprint has to honor that.not insurance...Insurance covers for breaks and acts of god...not hardware.Sprint sold it so they are responsible for that yr period.I'm sure there are many sprint employees on this very site that would agree on that fact...This i know for a fact..Im not going to name them though.

lol nice i agree with that my mogul is the shit and have ben a mogul user sinc just aftr christmas again. the touch got traded for a modde 360 elite that can play burned games and came with 20 games ans 2 controllers so i cant complan dince i got my 360 and my mogul!!

I work for sprint and honestly if it was me i would tell you to **** off if you came into the store with that problem...but ide give you the direct number to sprint retentions and tell you to threaten to cancel as i just told someone today...insurance IS meant to cover EVERYTHING, yes the manufacturer has a 1 year warranty; however sprint is not obligated nor are they supposed to honor that warranty. If you don't want to use the insurance then that is your choice and the issue would need to be taken up with HTC (as you know sprint doesnt make the phone) and you would have to send them your phone and they would check it out and send you a new one. I work in a sprint corporate store that doubles as a repair center and, quite often, people come in with the same issues and i always tell them that they can get their phone fixed by our techs or send it to asurion (the insurance company) and pay 55 to get it swapped out...at 40 days i would say that should go through the manufacturer, but retentions is just another way around the system.

As for the statement about how you lose value as a customer for shit like this; that is the partial truth. Sprint keeps a note system and every time they give you a deal like this it will pop up in BRIGHT RED saying that they gave you this deal every time someone tries to access your account. This will not "technically" lower your value as a customer; however it will lower your chances of getting another deal like that in the future. Retentions does not have a spending limit, but they have common sense...they will get rid of you if they find you are trying to exploit the system :)

you dont wanna no rev a or gps and the phone isnt nearly as strong but i doubt this will work anymore... this is from when the touch just came out and most of the problems mentioned have been fixed in the new rom.
