Freezing wm6.1
My windows mobile 6.1 Mogul has been freezing a lot lately on my text messaging and taking forever to load things and freezes a lot recently.. I soft reset constantly and use oxios and that is slow to pop on the screen what can i do... thanxs guys.. i would hate to get a new phone or hard reset... but what do you guys think.. thanxs in advance...

only thing i can think of is to hard reset. it's not that bad if you don't have alot of apps installed. and you can backup your contacts, call logs, and texts with pimbackup. i know that's not the answer you were looking for but that's my thought.

thanxs yo.. that's what i was thinking i have a crap load of apps too.. i already have the backup app.. when i hard reset it will go back to the stock rom that came with the phone and i will have to re do the upgraded rom?...

no no. when you hard reset it will go back to the original settings of the rom currently on there. i read that even if you selboriyorker backup, there's still a chance you will bring the problem back. so i'd just backup with pimbackup and hard reset and then reinstall one app at a time and see what's causing the problem. personally, i've never experienced that.

what is the best way to hard reset.. i know i can clear storage... but is there any other way that will get the job done or is that the best way... thanxs..

that's not the only way but it's the easiest way. the other way is to hold down the 2 buttons in front with white dots and then push the reset button.

I used the sprite backup program with my last rom upgrade and that thing is sweet everything work perfect just as before the rom upgrade it has levels of restoration feature, my opionion is its far better then selboriyorker or pim....with sprite you could easily back up with that...then hard reset and restore without worries.

another thing is you prolly need to choose which apps your absolutely have to run... cuz it may not be an app malfunctioning but rather just too much on there... i cant wait for the knew htc with much more program memory and processor speed but for now there is definately a limit on that phone
