ok so ive been tweaking meh registry on my mogul and wow somehow i have literally quadripled my battery life.. i have used it moderately since friday and have no charged it at all and atm my battery life is at 75% this is with about 5-10 minutes of internet per day aswell as 30 to an hour of talk time a day. with the battery power i have consumed i would estimate standby time on this now is an average of 2-3 weeks. so far this is what ive rememeber what ive done,
flash kaos rom took quicklaunch app and set it to force quit active sync (kills it everytime it starts unless usb connection) took and under active sync i have added a new server source (just make one up so you now have your actual active sync course and a fake one. then you will have the option of hitting menu schedule, you then take and set both bars to manual. this makes it to where active sync rarely starts anymore without usb connection. i then took and made registry changes, these get a little crazy but from what i remember these are the ones i enabled/ enabled sd memory power management enabled irsir 1 powermanagement enabled l2tp1 power management enabled pptp1 powermanagement enabled activesncmac1 powermanagement i probable have 3 to 4 more but these are the ones i remember. |

im not sure where all those tweaks are in the registry. i found the disable power management for the sd card. its set to 0. im guessing id set it to 1?
and also, the first part of what youre talking about...quicklaunch..is that something built into kaos' roms? |

easiest way to do the power management is with schnaps advanced config. and yes 1 is to enable 0 to disable.
the quickmenu is the menu built into his latest rom its got like the task manager and what not and theres options for it one of them is to forcekill activesync. this disables activesync completely. note you cannot activesync back into the computer until this is turned off but is great for battery management. |

or when its called disablepower management and the pparameter is 0, if i change it to one that would disable it right? and i want it enabled..so its already enabled.
--------- New Post Merged on 6/3/2009 at 11:56:40 -------- i did a search for schnaps advanced config and it came up with 3 threads. this one, kaos take 5, and another...and not the program. any idea where to get it? the only link i found on here was dead and 2 years old Last edited by m260gt; 03-06-2009 at 11:56 PM. on power management with advanced config it will say if its enabled or disabled. you want everything enabled.

ok thats what i did. we will see tomorrow how the batt life is affected
--------- New Post Merged on 8/3/2009 at 03:22:00 -------- ok, so maybe i did this wrong, but it doesnt seem to be working. if anything its making the battery worse. i installed advanced config. i went into the program and enabled all the things mentioned above. did the soft reset like it asked. when it came back on i decided to check in the registry to see if it was enabled, so i went to HKLM/comm/ and then the sub folders and according to that they are all 0s, or from what monkey said that means they are disabled. did i do something wrong? i could be wrong on the registry tweak settings i haven't messed with registrys in a few months... but a few things to look into is to check throughout the day make sure activesync doesn't come on thats gunna eat it bad. also if your always on your data connection its going to eat it aswell. hopefully this might help some.

textin could be it because of your backlight. i would change settings to where your keyboard light doesn't come on and dim your main light. this will increase the battery life aswell.
