2. When installation is finished Execute "disable_activation.cmd" (double click on it) (in vista, run it as administrator if you have UAC enabled) [this file is in the keygen download]

there isnt a serial and the readme includes everything that you will need..... take a look at the other cs4 threads and you will find some tweaks you have to make...... adobe blacklisted almost all the keys so you have to do it in a special way to get it to work correctly.

yeah, thats what ive been doing. i use the other thread with all keys for adobe but it still ask to register online. i have an older version cs8 and works fine, just wanted to try this out. i also have cs3 which has serial and works fine, just wanted a current one...lol

right as i said with cs4 you have to make a registry edit so it cant connect to the internet to check the serial.

Alright bro so here it is. I went back where i go this from and it basically says that the links were going to stay down. So what I did was took the version i already had previously gotten downloaded and packed it up into rar format and split it up and uploaded it onto my own personal rapidshare account. Sorry it took so long. But they are now officially good to go!!!!

well its not that they blacklisted the key they do a check of the keys through an activation server. this is avoided by blocking the connection

its not actually a registry edit either. its a host file modify which blocks websites. like if this website took and sent a signal to your computer for some reason you can go into cmd do a ip lookup of the site then add it to the hosts file and block it. this prevents the site from accessing your computer. if it was a registry change you would have to go into regedit ;)

hi thit you pasted the serial on activation the keygen i providet its a path file system on top it says path file ones you do that your good to go and the msg you get must be gone if this not work wil provide serial generator oke then you have to choose activation by phone bud thats for later oke

have you modified the hosts files? to that it blocks the activation server? btw which os are you using? if its vista. in order to fix the host files you have to disable uac or go about it by copy and paste means.

hehe ive had to put adobe on SOOO many peoples comps ive kind of mastered the art. your issue with vista is uac. this is going to be your easiest fix. given you haven't modified your hosts before.

but take and paste this file into the following directory

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Warning~ using the ziddu file sharing website will iniciate a pop up that will try to download a fake antivirus to your computer that will infect your computer~ use the keygen at your own risk.

Ok heres some more in depth instructions for those who cant get it to work
Step 1~ Download Photoshop (i used rapid)
Step 2~ Download weesjes's keygen for all adobe products (thanks wees)
Step 3~ Download this

(may not need but if you have vista should dl credit for find goes to monkey)
Step 4~ Begin downloading Photoshop (extract it form the rar files then go into the folder and click setup.exe)
Step 5~ when downloading is finished and you get prompted to either use a trial or use a serial pick serial then go into wees's keygen and genereate a serial # (note you are not done yet)
Step 6~ Close photoshop and get your hosts file you downloaded from rapidshare DO NOT RENAME THEM Navigate to C:windows/system32/drivers/etc then drop in the downloaded host file choose to replace the one already in there.
Step 7~ Open up photoshop and your keygen regenare a new serial. When you open photoshop it should prompt you that your serial is not active now press i have a new serial (or something like that) and enter your newly generate serial #.
Once that is done close photoshop restart if you want but you dont have to. Then you should be able to use photoshop to your hearts content

Need everyone's opinion, I installed this fine on my computer and all works well. I gave it to a buddy of mine to install on his and gave him very specific instructions to verify the patch before anything else. He didn't, it worked for almost a month and now it is telling him the trial is up. I have verified and manually written the patch in the host folder, used revo uninstaller to remove all bits of the initial install and then reinstalled with the patch in place but almost instantly it reverted back to telling him he had 3 days left on the trial...I don't know what the deal is, I know its patch right, I am pretty certain that all bits of the previous install are gone. My only idea's are that a) adobe got his ip and black listed it(though that wouldn't make too much of a difference if the patch is right unless they made a registry edit we missed on his machine) b) the registration is piggybacking on another adobe program from a previous generation that the patch isn't blocking. Any idea's would be appreciated, I'm fresh out and my credibility is on the line(whats left of it...granted had he followed the damn instructions i gave him to begin with we wouldn't have issues)

Me too, its always a touchy subject when a supervisor knows your abilities and asks for a favor. You say yes you end up in this situation, you say no and you look like a dick and get a bad review for the next promotion. BS, I am currently working on 3 problems for 3 different sups right now, and I just got passed over on a promotion because I had beef with one of the sups making the decision, well he had beef with me at least. I am just about to throw the brakes on the whole thing, not help anyone anymore, its not making me any progress in the office and it is taking time away from my kid

I dont know if this would help any one but this how i got mine working ......i downloaded the trial from adobe then i googled (adobe photoshop cs4 extended serial numbers) and i found a site like this that listed about 11 different serials and tried them and the last one worked........i just thought id tell yall....they say every litttle bit counts
