Our first Snapdragon 8 Elite phone was too hot, does an update fix things?

I recently got my hands on the Realme GT7 Pro, the first Snapdragon 8 Elite phone I could put to the test. Unfortunately, the phone was unable to complete GPU stress tests. Instead, the GT7 Pro shut down the 3DMark benchmark app roughly midway through due to serious heating issues. I suspect this was a case of benchmark gaming gone wrong, as I successfully ran these tests using a disguised version of the 3DMark app. Realme confirmed the heating issue in a statement to Android Authority, saying it was a compatibility issue with 3DMark and that a software update was on the way to address it.
