Well you gotta unzip the RUU.zip bro. Then it will be a regular folder. Thats when you copy over the nbh file and proceed from there

I dont know if im doin something retarded homie... I downloaded the rapidshare that has to be copied and pasted.. i found out that i needed to also download something called RUU.zip and I did... the stuff that is in there is stuff like enter bootloader.exe, error battery.config.. and things of that nature...
when i try to copy over the nbh file it always delets everything else and then says 0kbs... is there anyting im suppose to do once i place it over there.. before anything happens a screen appears and it asks me a few questions and gives me some options.. which options should i take..

am i making this confusing.. cus im almost confusing myself... ive been doing this for about 4 hrs... lol.. it can't be as hard as im making it seem... lol

OK......theres no reason why placing Kaos nbh in the RUU folder (and yea all them files are supposed to be in there) would delete everything in the folder unless you had them highlighted. Try restarting your comp, that works for me sometimes. The only file that should be replaced in the folder is the nbh file.

As a matter of fact, try deleting the nbh file in the RUU folder before you even try to move Kaos' nbh file over. That way, you want even have to worry about overwritting it.

dude your making it wayyyyy harder than it needs to be....

be sure to unlock your phone before doing.

1. download the ruu
2. download the nbh rom file from the first post.
3. take the nbh file and drag it to your desktop.
4. double click on the zip ruu and open it up. inside there you will find another folder. take that folder and drag to your desktop.
5. take the nbh and drag it into the ruu folder
6. open the ruu folder and run the file labeled romupdateutility.exe
7. follow the steps.

just hold the power button and volume down button and press the on the bottom with your stylus and you should be good.

Yeah I got up and runnin and its pretty sweet. I had iked that original theme from thr firt beta posted but this thing is hot as is. One question. When using TF3D, my clear flip clock works and the call hstory button works. Alright... I've been playing with this puppy for a few hours and have made some observations:

1) Kudos and thanks to Kaos for all his work and talents.

2) This rom rocks...the speed and performance essentially makes this a brand new phone for me. One thing in particular: I changed the Parms setting the the registry and the DNS settings per D/\sh's post, and my internet speed is BLAZING!!!!! I achieved 1200+ mbps on speedtest.net on my tethered laptop... The highest I was able to do before was like 650. Almost double!!:common001:

3) The TF3D interface is generally much snappier. However, I did notice that I does restart like some others have have reported. (BTW, I did hard-reset after flashing...twice for good measure). Not a huge deal because it restarts so quickly, but it is curious why that happens. Minor annoyance... Overall there is hardly any lag except for one...for some reason, the music tab takes forever to load up and actually locks up TF3D...but this may have to do with the fact that my 16 GB memory card is about 95% full... I'm going to trim this down tomorrow and see if that corrects the problem.

4) The battery life seems to have increased dramatically... I'll benchmark this fully tomorrow.

5) Keyswop doesn't work anymore to remap the soft keys on the today screen. Seems to be "baked" into the rom... Not a big deal,...especially considering that AE Button seems to be working a better!

Overall, a superb effort! Thanks again!

I can't use my internet... everytime i try to download the weather it says i can't and do I want to retry and i can't go on the internet browser.... i had this problem before and sprint had to fix it and that took forever... hope i dont have to go through that again... anything u guys could do... thanks

read the link in my signature on how to flash roms...
1. hook up your phone to the computer and run active sync. (let it sync)
2. extract the zipped folders below to your desktop
3. run the unlocker
4. place the ruu file that you wish to flash in the Touch Pro Rom Tools folder
5. run the update utility contained in the rom tools folder.
6. enjoy

I had this exact same issue with the calender not opening in BETA ROM! Can anyone confirm that Skyfire works on this ROM!

I actually had that calender issue with a couple custom ROMS. Thats why I just make one of the softkeys on the front tab a calender tab. Plus, this bad boy has a calender tab in the TF3D interface, so it doesnt really bother me.
And my skyfire works fine.

Yup, I saw the calander tab in TF3D, but shouldn't I be able to click on a day in a given month and bring up my itinerary for thatday? Right now my calender tab does not allow me to do this. There are a ton of alternative ways to do a daily todo list, appontments etc, just wonderin if it was meant to be a static calender or one to drop in some daily info...

well, only Kaos can answer if it was supposed to be that way. But i dont think it was, like I sais, ot is a common problem in custom roms. I would use diamond tweak and make one of the soft keys on the today screen your calander month view. I do this and i can do anything i want with the calender from there

one other thing I noticed is that the mike on my incleded headphones deosnt activate Voice rec. anymore. If I click it repeadey it for somereason dials my last outgoing number, but it no longer brings up my voice recognition.

You have to set up voicecommander. He included one that isnt stock. Go into the buttons in settings and select the voicecammander program for the "press and hold send key" option

Frommy understanding, FM radio doesnt work with the Touch Pro yet and sprint is workin on a fix (apparently).



And Kaos, I told him about the calender tab, but I just told him about this as another option. He said his calender tab dosnt let him do anything to the days or somethin like that.

I dont know why your TF3D is goin slow. Mine is lightining fast. Do you have any programs installed? One might be messin up your phone. If not, just try reflashing, maybe your flash got messed up a lil bit.

i saved my contacts only with swcked backup and after the flash i just loaded back my contacts only from swcked do you think thats a problem
cause for some reason my contatcs will not sync to my computer with active sync

Dont use swcked. Use PIMBackup. Swcked likes to restore previous crap you dont need, like registry edits and stuff. Just put PIMBackup on your phone, backup your contacts to your sdcard, reflash(or hard reset first and see if that works), then reinstall PIMBAckup and restore your contacts. Should be good after that.

It has all the registry tweaks you need. The only thing you should mess with, if wanted, is the screen sensitivity to suite your style.
