One of the best M2D roms I have ever used on my Sprint Vogue.

I installed this ROM 2 days ago and this is by far the best ROM I have ever put on a phone. Runs smooth and adds everything that the Touch (Vogue) should have had when it was released. It is like a new, much nicer phone!

I went through the additional steps to get the Verizon GPS unlocked and when I got to step 14 (per the XDA link) the DMR code didn't work and after trying some work arounds that got me nowhere, I figured I would mess with it later. However, the GPS works fine and will aquire a signal in about 30-40 seconds.

I'm always looking to mod my phones but can't think of anything this phone is lacking now.

A good screen locking program would be great! I have programed the long press end key to activate the HTC lock. S2U2 is okay but I have had problems dropping calls I was trying to answer when I was on the other line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ok... Thanks NFSFANs for the ROM...It looks good on SPRINT TOUCH!!!! I have one problem....The volume isn't near what it used to be with the OG Sprint Rom!!! Is there a fix to get my ear piece, speaker phone and plug earphones a volume boost? Thanks again!

do you have the volume turned all the way up? you have to do this not only on the homescreen for your alerts but you have to do this while in call for the volume also...

dont know than..... have you tried to look into the settings tab of 2d and see if there is a seperate one for volume?

Very nice ROM, I do not mis the cube at all.

I can't seem to keep slingbox working ,don't know if its the ROM or something else. It runs for twenty min. then will not find server. Oh well the clean ROM is worth it.

I've been working quite a lot lately on 1.29. I've come up with a method of optimizing the FATFS partition and running a Microsoft cache filter with it. Several File System filters have been removed, and partition now works differently. I did this by rebuilding my XIP (eXecute In Place/Core), and manually optimizing the boot registry. I've been able to get the cachefilter to fully work on the FATFS partition, where as before there was an HTC File System Filter, which took care of maintaining the partition structure. The Release Directory File System Filter has also been removed, because this is not a used filter. Due to significant changes in the layout of the partition, there are significant speed improvements over extended periods of time usage. Cache is also preloaded at boot, and the ROM seems much more responsive and stable. 1.29 will undergo several beta stages, to ensure not only stability, but improved performance over extended usage.
This in turn I'm hoping it will fix many memory (NAND) related issues, especially with soft/hard reset, which seems to be caused by ULDR removal "incompatibility" with some NAND flash.

you need the .zip archive on your desktop then you need to connect phone through usb to the pc then when it says USB at the bottom then you need to open the .zip file and run the .exe name romupdateutility.exe

follow all the steps and you'll be golden

it comes down to personal preference really, i would suggest just browsing this section and checking out what some ROMs have cooked into them if you like it

back up your contacts (search to find a program for this) and then try falshing and testing a couple different ROMs and choose your favourite

I have tried flashing back to the RUU_Vogue_4350_BM_WWE_3.08.666.1_Radio3.42.50_Ship .exe. It works with no problem.

Am I doing something wrong?

have you unlocked your device?

if you haven't then you need the 2.31 unlocker which can be found in the ROM flashing tutorial thread, just search "flashing ROMs"

Unlock worked great, but now after I installed the rom it booted up and customized itself reboot and now boots up and works for about 30 seconds then reboots again and again.

Anyone know? I have put back on a bell rom, and tried installing the nfsfan rom again with the same problem.

what radio do you have? did you take the battery out for 1 minute and than hard reset after flash? you can check the radio on bootup by looking at the red text at bbotup... it will be located next to the R:

the radio is correct so i would try to take the battery out for a minute and see what that does for you.... (that resets the pagepool and places the new into effect) if that doesnt work place your phone into manual bootloader and tell me what it says in the top right

yes that's the unlocker for non-gps ROMs

Good news people. New releases coming tomorrow for all providers!!!

I've ported 2 systems, out of which 21032 was garbage, had a few issues, which ended up taking too much time for me to fix. Then I ported 21028, which is very good, and somewhat faster than 21014. I've ported this SYS with more care than 21014, and the XIP I've refined it as best I could. All memory leaks are gone, and now with a pagepool of 24mb there is 93.46MB memory left, where with 1.28 it was <93Mb. Random reset issues should be solved, and a great amount of other improvements and goodies.

I would greatly appreciate if people who use my ROMs would donate a few bucks here and there. I put a lot of time and effort into 1.29, at least a month's worth of work, and adopting a new system structure through the usage of cachefilter, and removing the htc default. I don't have a job, so I kind of try to rely on any little amount of income I can get. Like I said before I'm only a student

Anyone help me out with my problem here? I installed NFSFAN's new rom that was released on Friday the 13th which is really good but my LED notifier doesn't work anymore? When I get a new text or a missed phone call the LED would change to a Orange color now nothing happens!!

if that ROM has NUE LED it sounds like you just need to enable it.

The Sprint 1.10 ROM keeps crashing. I have hard reset 4 times today alone. I followed the directions and did it from the bootloader and everything like it was recommended. I just flashed back to Sprint 1.09...it works without flaw even when I flash through activesync. I will check back to see if the reason why this ROM seems to keep crashing is fixed. I like it alot but it just isnt working correctly right now.

Yes I had some other programs on the phone. They arent the issue as they work fine on the other ROM.

The XDA post does speak of this problem for the Sprint ROM. I posted over there first. There is some kind of memory leak that being reported.

Nice rom but im having a little problem with texting some ppl get the text some dont, i try to fix it but nothing and some times ppl say they called and my never rang so i dont know if its me or it has happen to other so if theres a solution to this thanks in advance

I have heard about peoples texts deleting randomly but not about what you mention. And for the phone call thing try this.......

Then go to start>programs>system tools>phone codes>PST and then click edit. Enter the code provided by msl generator to get access. Then click on view info>modem settings>slot cycle index and change the value to 1. Then it will ask you to reset the device. What you just did is made the phone check the tower every 1-2 seconds for an incomming call/text instead of every 5-7 seconds.

Just an FYI. There are a lot of problems being reported with the latest Sprint ROM. I myself had to get rid of it...my phone got stuck in the bootscreen and would move. I thought it was bricked. I had to flash another ROM to get my phone back. I'm using WDM latest ROM and it seems a lot more stable than this one was right now. If it works for you fine but if you have some problems, you are not alone.

Here're a few things I think people have found in the current Sprint ROM:

-The SMS read status only being activated for one SMS at a time. (Very annoying, haha.)
-No more MJPEG codec to play recorded videos with WMP. (Is available in the Stock Sprint ROM. Not a bug, just something that would be cool to have. :P)
-Memory usage starting at 40% and rising up to 60% without any apps running. (Reported by a bunch on people... Manila hogging ram/memory leaks?)
-Boot Animation is laggy. (Don't if it's a Sprint only issue.)
-Randomly Freezes on the boot screen and requires hard-reset. (It happend to me 3 times, lol.)
-The first word of an SMS is deleted unless you tap the SMS empty field first.
-Random freezes with Garmin. (only happened twice)
Cannot use Opal Task Manager or Opal Enlarged Start Menu.
-... Anything else, haha?

NFSFAN is supposedly making an updated version correcting some of the problems people are having!! I hope so, I like what he had in that rom just didnt run stable for me!

i tried, this pulled the hex esn from under the battery (it was in all caps) as the readme said, put it into the "input" line of the program, copied down the output, tried the code, didn't work (no access), then i tried the same code in all lower case, got a different code, that didn't grant access either. I'm confused....

-Memory usage starting at 40% and rising up to 60% without any apps running. (Reported by a bunch on people... Manila hogging ram/memory leaks?)
-Boot Animation is laggy. (Don't if it's a Sprint only issue.)
-Randomly Freezes on the boot screen and requires hard-reset. (It happend to me 3 times, lol.)
-The first word of an SMS is deleted unless you tap the SMS empty field first.
-Random freezes with Garmin. (only happened twice)
Cannot use Opal Task Manager or Opal Enlarged Start Menu.
-... Anything else, haha?

thanks, let us know if its good, I want to know if the new rom is stable, so I can upgraded my gfs touch to this version. I still have hers on 1.09 and its running good.

Sprint ROM Had some connectivity issues with the Sprint ROM. Wouldnt connect until I unchecked the "Enable faster data synchronization" box. Then the regular connection box comes up not the newer, more modern one. It works well so far other than that. I'll get you updated as i test it more.

Ok...this to me is by far the most stable ROM from NFSFAN for the Sprint Vogue/Touch.

It is SUPER fast. A soft reset only takes 20-25 seconds before I'm back in the phone fully functioning. It responds smoothly and outside of it not being capable of TF3D could really fool a diamond user into believing that this ROM and the Diamond as the same.

GPS connects in under 3 seconds and it seems like he got it right on this try. Outside of the connectivity issue, which I can live without, at this point I dont find a problem...I'll keep you updated if I find a problem.
