having trouble flashing the verizon TP. tried the SD card and it stayed on the loading screen.

tried the active sync and it stays on 0%...i unlocked it...downloaded NFSfans 6.5 rom for the TP...ran the RUU.exe from the folder. any info on my problem?

what edoes it say in the upper right hand side on the bootloader screen? and you did reformat the card and use one 2 gigs or less correct?

what do you mean in the upper right hand corner? you mean the RAPH500? this is what the bootloader screen shows

and i did rename it RAPHIMG.nbh before putting it on the SD card...so idk what the problem is...i dont like the verizon layout...im wanting the alltel one back :(

From PPCGeeks.........if you are trying to unlock a Verizon Touch Pro, it needs a different Unlocker NOT .37.......They have a .35 specifically for the Verizon Touch Pro...

Ok, I think I finally got it. Where I messed up was assuming the bootload screen would go away on its own. At that screen you have to either

1 - run the RUU or Stock Rom
or
2 - run the exit bootloader

I am by no means the master that D/\SH and so many others are, but, for me, flashing the 6800 via the SD card is definitely the way to go! Very quick and very easy... much less worry than using the RUU.....call me silly but when using the RUU, every time it stops and hiccups, i go into heart failure......using the SD card, it is much faster.....

Just my opinion........

got it flashed! NFSfans 6.5 rom. pretty cool. sucks that the verizon TP has like no ram. with nothing open it only has 24.63mb....

Glad that it worked out so well for you........I am currently studying the ins and outs of flashing the TP to Cricket and have been doing alot of reading and had already found that......VZW phones are typically easier to flash to Cricket (SPC is already 000000) so i start with them and then work upward to the Sprint (which needs the SPC re-set).......

Ok so it turns out that in the recent alltel-verizon merger they forgot to carry over my unlimited date plan *genius* so they added it back. I'm gonna try again to flash back to Kaos 3 enhanced and see what happens.

One more question. Why do we have to flash the Sprint rom first? I also found a later version of that sprint stock rom. Should I use that instead?

you need tp unlock the phone and thn flash the rom... are you following the guides we have given you many times already.

yes i read the guides and i have flashed this phone 5/6 times already but when i bought it the ESN was bad but i figured for 40 bucks i could learn and if it burnt up not that much of a loss but today i called sprint and they gave me a big GIFT the CS rep said the ESN is all clear and i checked 3 times so now i'm trying to flash something nice and toss it to my Daughter but when i do it gives error that this rom is not right for the device ?

than it isnt for the device.... are you sure you flashing a rom made for the phone and not a mogul on a touch pro or vice versa?

it's Merdins windows 6.5 it says for mogul

Are you using the correct RUU folder, not the one you use for your TP. Make sure it is the RUU folder for the Mogul.

merdin doesnt make a mogul rom and it says its for the touch pro not the mogul on merdins rom. thats why it isnt working. like stated earlier you have to watych the rom that you are trying to flash

your very right and i'm sorry but i was mistaken it is the kaos take 3 rom that i'm having problems with i tried to flash and i get the error but i will double check as i did get the wrong device error so i will check rom and make sure it has the right ruu folder and flash again and let you know but while i'm here do you have any other suggestions for the mogul? as i ran a search and only came up with a couple!

you got nfsfan (i can get you hooked up would jsut have to send me a pm in the morning for a while, kaos is great, the 6.5 roms out now are working good and there are many others since that was a beast of a phone rom wise.

the radio isnt going to cause that nd what does it say after that like as a description for the error.... and did you use the search feature? they are stickied in the roms area as well as came right up when i searched for radios. use the feature in the future or you will not make it here or anywhere and thats a promise.

What this does is if you have a NUU_signed.nbf this will let you flash the file. you can use to flash radio or roms. You need this on ur desktop at the time of ur flash

the ruu file is the engine that can be used with different cars... depending on the rom or (car) your are trying to use... you put the RUU(engine) with the ROM file (car) in the same folder... and when you double click on RUU when you are synced up with activesync the the ROM will drive off and change all edits to your phone while the engine is keeping your phone from blocking the edits... if you need more clarifying let me know... lol...

Bro to flash u follow the simple instructions giving on the first post


to flash a stock rom over a stock rom
1. download the rom
2. connect to activesync
3. run exe
4. follow steps on wizard
5. DONE.|

to flash a custom rom from a stock rom
1. unlock your phone using hardspl found here:

2. download the custom rom of your choice and download
3. take the nbh file and drag into the RUU folder found here:

4. connect to activesync
5. run the romupdateutility.exe file from the RUU
6. follow the steps of the wizard.


You dont have to put anything in the RUU folder bro u simply download the rom of ur choice once downloaded u take out the nbd file like stated above and drag it out to desktop u then follow the rest if steps and u should be golden ,u will need winrar to do this .
7. DONE.|

you want to use the 420 rom and you have the nbh file then you are set. Now all you have to do is read.

I use the titan unlocker to get the phone to the bootloader, then i flash the rom coorect, i already have the updated radio so i dont need to flash that, to my understanding. So when im sitting in the bootloader, where do i put this nbh file and how do i get out of the loader w/o the executable?
